  1. I actually just sent out a check this week to a member here. No hesitation on it. I have no problems going ahead and saying that I want something and sending a PM to the seller asking any details if they were not in the original post. If you can't work out how the payment is to be handled, just say so and let the seller put it back up for sale. No harm, no foul. bisonresq, I would believe that once the check has withdrawn funds from your account, the seller has there money and should go ahead with shipment. Trey
  2. One option is to host the file on a server somewhere and just post the link to the file. There are file share websites that will allow you to do this if you don't have a place to do it yourself. For example, I use the extra space from the hosting company for my wife's company website to store files and stuff I want access to away from the home computer. Just made a folder to dump my stuff in. Trey
  3. When you say it is getting stuck, what part are you speaking of? The actual measurement rod that goes down into the case or the actuator rod that goes through the toolhead? Trey
  4. +1 My daughter turned 7 back in October and Santa brought her a Crickett .22 for Christmas. She has taken it out a few times and she sits down with me to clean it when we get back. Seeing the impact that even a small (compared to the .45ACP that daddy shoots) .22 makes showed her how dangerous it can be. I even enjoy the reactive target of fruit! She has been going to the range with me since she was about 5 and has been very good at listening and paying attention. I think a lot depends on the child, as her 11 year old cousin is not even close to being responsible enough to have a firearm. He also has not been exposed to shooting and does not know the consequences. Trey

    TSA Stats....

So this is a good example of a quintessential government project! Our tax dollars at work. Trey
  6. Saw a news story today that I thought I should share on this topic. Looks like in our state of South Carolina, it is illegal to buy precious metals without a permit. Even have a holding period after purchase. Just make sure it's legal where you live. This was a shock to me. http://www.wyff4.com/news/26352497/detail.html Trey
  7. It sounds like a problem I had a few months back. It just would not reliably kick back to the next hole. Would hang up about halfway. I just took the whole priming system out and cleaned it well and greased the main shaft that everything pivots around. I found a couple of flakes of powder in the area where everything comes together. Once I put it all back together I have had no other problems. So I don't know if it was just getting the powder out, just general cleaning or the grease, but it works now. I just looked at it like any other piece of machinery. Just needs a little maintainance every now an then. Trey
  8. +1 on the CX for a first heli. I fly, when I get the chance, a T-Rex 450SE. It's a handfull. I would agree that the plane is the way to start, gives you a lot of the basics of controls and orientation. I used an old trainer plane (Hobbico Avistar), with a little larger engine to pull the payload, as a camera rig for a while. It had a wireless transmitter and we would plug the reciever into a video camera to watch the live feed and to record it. Was not as easy to fly looking at the video as it was looking at the plane, for me anyway. Trey
  9. Popular post here. It was an interesting read and I am glad to see those points. Trey
  10. +1 to what gng4life said. The manufacturers have tested penetration, expansion, etc. for that particular bullet. I have not fired one single round for self defense, just the rounds I used for function testing, so I am not saving money by reloading my protection ammo. I can't see where anyone would want to even put themselves into that situation. Trey
  11. I was looking at the GoPro at Best Buy tonight. Looks like a nice unit. Search for gopro on YouTube for some reviews and video shot by this cam. I was thinking how the 720p 60frames/sec would pick up quick action. Also says it's waterproof housing is good up to 180', so could be a versatile cam. Trey
  12. Which press do you need the picture of? SDB, 550, 650, 1050? Trey
  13. Believe it or not, I have a friend that has this: Workbench for his reloading bench. He has a Rock Chucker mounted to it and loads .338 Lapua Mag on it. He says it is quite stable and then he just rolls it away when he is done. Also locks everything up in it. I got the large workbench made by the same company and it is rock solid. Maybe this would work for you as well. Trey

Same here, working just fine. Sometimes I think it's best to power off and let everything reboot. Trey
  15. Yes, and 9 dies of course. But for only $35.45, you can get a Toolhead & Powder Die and then you'll never adjust dies again! be That would be my choice as well. $36 is a small investment considering the time to set up the toolhead each time. Trey
  16. Yes, you could just purchase caliber conversion and dies. You would have to reset all of your dies and powder measure every time you want to change the press. Trey
  17. Welcome to the board from another South Carolinian. Trey
  18. I have tried many different flavors, and the Berry is very good, but the Grape is better. Whatever you do, stay away from the Pomegranate! Yes, it works. I once stayed up for a 72 hour shift, slamming those every 4 hours or so. The trick is to drink them BEFORE you feel like you are falling out. If you wait to drink it, it's usually too late. Be proactive. I used to be a Red Bull guy, but it was giving me headaches, this stuff is clean. I buy it by the case at Sam's Club. When I worked nights, I just about lived on this. I agree, some of the flavors have a lot to be desired, but the berry is pretty good. I too used to guzzle the Red Bull, but this is better. Trey
  19. Why? Seems like a nice offer that a smart guy would take you up on. I was thinking the same thing, but did not even want to ask. I would be happy for someone to tumble my brass for me. Trey
  20. Using my W shellplate I get: Diameter: 2.73" or 69.34mm Thickness: .257" or 6.52mm Hope that helps. Trey
  21. +1. Mine were difficult when new. One thing that will help if you want is to load with the slide open. Trey
  22. I thought so as well. I am just glad to see how hard Firehouse works to give back to the communities. People are always talking about buying USA, well this is it. Trey
  23. I know I use a lot of buckets to sort brass with. I have been lucky that my wife uses them in her business. I just heard about this on the radio yesterday and thought it was a great idea. Firehouse Subs is selling their 5-gallon pickle buckets for $2. This money is then given to fire departments so that they can buy equipment that they need. As many of us that reload, I am sure that we can help a little and it all goes to a great cause! Pickle Buckets - You can make a donation to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation by purchasing a 5-gallon pickle bucket from our stores. The empty pickle buckets are only $2 and the money goes to help emergency services be prepared to save lives. Pickle buckets can be used in putting up drywall, painting, gardening, to build sandcastles or just about anything else you can think of. Stop by one of our stores today to get your pickle bucket! 24. Who the heck is Patrick Plannagin? He is an "Xtreme Sport Shooter", does a lot of fast shoot, hand thrown clay stuff. Video of Patrick Trey My point exactly! Who cares how many clays you can throw in the air and shoot them. Come play our game with us and I'll take notice. Signing Jerry is a the real deal. Now if you get Benny and Mr. Weakhand running your shotgun too. You're the man! That is my point. If Mossberg is signing people like Miculek and Flanigan, they are trying to expand their product line to include more guns suited for the sport. I applaud their effort. Trey
