  1. Since I have a little bit more time after school now, I've been able to dryfire more. I've been dryfiring at least 30-45 min a day and I'm definately seeing improvements. My draws, index, transitions, and mag changes are definately getting there...it sometimes feels like I CANNOT miss a mag change. Feels pretty cool... Gearing up for Area 6 in a couple weeks. This will be my 2nd major of the season. After that, I'm switching to CZ and focusing on IPSC/USPSA nats.
  2. Thanks Smitty. It's not set in stone yet but hopefully my arithmetic is correct. Math is my worst subject...
  3. Shot a classifier match today. Im pretty happy the way I shot. Everything seemed to flow pretty well and I was seeing my sights well. I was able to manage two 100%, a 98%, and a 89%. If I averaged it out right, I may be moving to GM...
  4. Shot the US steel nationals in Titusville...was able to pull off high overall production. Would have liked to shoot better...but not bad for never shooting steel. May be switching platforms in production...stay tuned. Next match- Area 6. Time to ramp up training.
  5. So the 75 SP 01 shadow custom is legal for IPSC since it's nots milled, correct? Sorry for my CZ incompetence.
  6. This is why I am a liitle confused. I've noticed the target seems to be popular in USPSA but I need something legal in IPSC as well.
  7. Are SP 01 shadow targets legal for IPSC?
  8. Bayous definately have higher velocity than jacketed.(MG) Using 3.4 gr Titegroup w/ MG 147 cmj, I was getting 130 PF with m&p 5 in. Using only 3.2 gr titegroup with bayous 147 I was getting 138 PF. So I'm thinking 3.0 gr should be perfect.
  9. So in essence, the only aspect your mind should be focused on is calling your shots and you should let everything else go? Is this the consensus?
  10. So is there any way to make the trigger a little bit better but stay at 6lbs?
  11. Any idea where the trigger weight will be using these springs and a factory 9pro?
  12. I tried that it my 9L and it was too close for comfort.(barely and I mean BARELY made 5lb) But, that may have been since I had already had trigger work done. Isn't there a Duty spring kit or something?
  13. I have a brand new 9pro that I plan on keeping as a backup/dedicated IPSC gun. I'm wondering if it's possible to make it have a 6 lb trigger that is somewhat decent compared to the factory trigger. I need it around 6lb because I want some cushion for the 5lb minimum. Any suggestions?
  14. I tried 147 gr bayous with titegroup and they were dead accurate. There was more smoke than with a CMJ but it was at night and in an enclosed space. I'm wondering if I will notice the difference if I'm shooting outside?... I was thinking of trying solo but have heard a lot positive things as well as negative. Any thoughts?
  15. Back from the FL open...tough match... 6th overall -83% 1st Master High Junior
  16. Do you think solo is a better option than WST? (using bayous BTW)
  17. Anyone have any experience regarding solo vs WST with bayou 135/147 gr bullets?
  18. Probably 147gr out of a m&p 5in
  19. So what do you all think the best powder is in terms of both cost and smokiness? Thinking it may be solo 1k?
  20. I also think match experience is a biggie. The more majors you shoot, the more you understand what is necessary to succeed. Don't think, do.
  21. I think it comes down to a lack of focus and our attempt to try and DO more than we really need to do.
  22. Anyone know a good starting point for 135gr bayous and TG? Using m&p 5in.
  23. Shot a monthly match today in production of course. Overall, shot okay. Became lazy on the last stage and threw a miss into hardcover....ended up 2nd overall at 99%. Plan to continue on my routine. This is going to be my busiest and biggest shooting year yet. Still trying to dry fire daily and livefire 2 times per week. List on things to work on: 1. Long distance accuracy= #1! 2. Shooting on the move 3. SHO/WHO 4. making sure I have a sight focus, not target focus on targets that need one
