  1. Anyine have any experience with bayous 147 and TG?(m&p 5in)
  2. Alright last question here... I'm going to try and load sone bayous with titegroup. I shot somebody's today and it didn't smoke bad at all. So what powder charge should I use with 124, 135, 147gr? I know with jacketed bullets, 124 is around 4.1, and 147 at 3.3.(don't know if bayous are around the same with titegroup?) Anyone have experience with TG and bayous? (using m&p 5in btw)
  3. Probably will end up doing that...
  4. Interesting. Have you used bayous in your m&p? If so, what was your load?
  5. A not much at all, in fact less than some FMJ that I have shot. I used to use Precision Moly bullets, they are great bullets and very economical. However, I prefer TG powder for various reasons, and while I shot MANY thousands of rounds with PM bullets and TG powder, it was VERY smokey. I changed to Bayou Bullets late last year, and find them to be outstanding in quality and price. Thanks for the info. Now my only dilemma is what gr bullet for 9mm! I've shot a bunch of 147 gr MG so I'm leaning toward 147 bayous but am curious about 160 gr also...
  6. I have always shot 147 MG cmj. Am I better off using 147 or 160 bayous? (using m&p 5in)
  7. I think I will probably like 147 gr bayous the best since Ive shot only 147s the past three years... So the million dollar question...which powder?! Sounds like the most common are solo, WST, and n320. Decisions decisions...
  8. So am I hearing that generally titegroup is a no-no with bayous?
  9. Eric, Thanks for the info. So it seems that WSF or WST might be the best bet for production with bayou bullets? By the way, I may take you up on that offer. Always been interested in trying out CZs...
  10. So it seems like 135 gr should be around 3.7-3.8 and 147 gr should be around 3.3-3.4...? Also, can anyone explain the differences between the different Winchester powders?(WSF,WST, 231)
  11. Is this with m&p 5in? OAL?
  12. Sounds like solo might be a good option...if I want to try 135/147 any idea on starting charge? With MG 147, I was using 3.3-3.4 gr TG at 1.130 for PF of 130.
  13. Uh oh....hopefully only on particular bullets?...
  14. Thanks guys. Anyone else have a favorite powder that is affordable and works well with bayous? I've heard solo 1k, wst,...??
  15. I picked up some bayou bullets to try out in my 9L and my 9pro. I bought 124, 135 and 147 gr bullets.(100 of each) Ive always shot 147 MG but I'm curious to see your guys' opinion on these bullets. Anyone have experience with bayous? What are your favorite loads? Would titegroup be too dirty? Thanks, Jason
  16. I picked up some bayous to try...I have 124s, 135s and 147s to test. Anyone care to share their loads using bayous?
  17. I didn't push myself...kind of just went through the motions. Need to be more explosive in and out of positions, shoot more efficiently(on the move), etc. I was way too conservative on close targets.(had a lot of A's but times definately suffered) I was 12 seconds behind the pace of match winner which averages out to 1 second a stage. Little things here and there add up...
  18. Let us know your experience with bayous! Thinking about switching myself...
  19. How bad does bayou bullets smoke with titegroup?
  20. Well, back from Florida state match. I shot okay...probably should have been a bit more aggressive. I ended up 1st master and 2nd overall production at 98%... Guess I need to train harder... Jason
  21. Cha-lee, I have a 9L for USPSA and picked up a Pro and plan on it being a backup/IPSC gun. Any info on how to smooth out the trigger but still keeping it at around 6lbs?(for IPSC)
  22. Well, looks like I'm a master now in production. I guess im with the big dogs now. On to GM....
  23. Thanks for the info. How was accuracy with 147 molys and solo?
  24. Have you tried any other powders? I ask as I have some clays already on hand. I've also heard that solo 1k and WSF are popular.
