  1. OEM Glock magazines are the only way to go. Aftermarket magazines are not perfected for Glocks yet as far as I know. Spend the extra few bucks and get Glock factory mags. That said, 80.00 seems WAY to high. But if I am understanding you correctly, you must buy them in-state from a pre-ban owning person, correct? If that is the case, unfortunately the regular market won't reflect what you may pay. Make sure you double check your local laws regarding buying regular capacity mags in-state. Also, go for the metal lined mags, the NDF ones are called that for a reason and who wants a sticky mag?
  2. Word. I am only one of 4 white boys there...including the NS's.
  3. Like many others here, I can get 19 easily in Arrendondo BP's. 20 fit, but will not seat without divine intervention.
  4. That's the exact combo I have and it is a really nice sight picture. I went with the Heinie "race cut" @ .156" and a .105" FO front. Enjoy!
  5. Ditto on the 13lb for G34/35. Ditto on the ISMI springs. I use a captured tungsten guide rod.
  6. "The Last Dragon" Sho'nuff and Leroy rule.
  7. Duracoat? Might be a good alternative to keep the rust off your AM sights.

So true. Those two should be muzzled before the match.
  9. That sounds like a plan. I have a Dremel and sanding wheel. Wish I had a vertical belt sander, would be much easier to trim evenly. Dremel until it fits then a little more. Ya want some wiggle room. Definitely a good idea. Thanks!

  11. Aftermarket Glock mags from Botach...you got steel marbles man
  12. I am looking for the best way to take of some material on the Wilson Combat 47DE .625" basepads. They work perfectly with my magwell, but need some of the front taken down to fit in the box. I know many have done it with success. How did you do it? What tools did you use? All advice welcome. Thanks!
  13. I dunno, I have shot some .40 minor that felt even softer than 9 minor. I am sure it is all in the perceived recoil, but it did feel very soft. I would save your cash for more components.
  14. The Wilson .625" base pads stick out a good bit. Nice to have that extra bit to smack the mag in, but they would have to be trimmed a bit at an angle to fit the box.
  15. If you are still around this weekend you can hitch a ride with me on Saturday to head to the Norco IPSC match. Very friendly group, everyone is welcome. Drop me a PM if you are interested.
  16. Clays is pretty popular with .45 it seems. I like it a lot with my 230gr LRN. 3.7 makes major in my 5" 1911. For jacketed I imagine it would take more like 4.0 gr or so to make major.
  17. Use your old one as a cool paper weight/hammer and go get yourself a new one. $600.00 pro rated over 12 years is $4.16 a month, that's less than a #2 at McD's. Sounds like the old G21 gave you a good bang for your buck.
  18. Got mine in today. Threw it on the gun and snapped some pictures as promised. Installed in minutes and feels great on the gun. Will shoot my next match with it and see how it runs. Notes: - Wilson 47D mags fit flush with the bottom of the magwell. I think they will work fine enough and seat properly, but there is no argument that longer base pads, say 47DE's, would make it easier. - My Alumagrip flat bottoms fit perfectly with this magwell (see bottom picture. Enjoy...
  19. I honestly do not believe you need these things in a G34 Production gun. I bet you would have to shoot a G34 for three lifetimes before the frame would ever get battered enough to notice. With Minor loads (what you would shoot in Production), the recoil assembly works perfectly and absorbs the energy well enough on it's own, as it was designed to do. Adding a piece to a system that is already extremely reliable is asking for problems/malfunctions. My advice, save the money on buffers and spend it on ammo/components, or maybe a few 6 packs of something nice : )

    SIGHTS FOR MY 34

A Heinie plain rear w/ .156" cut and a DP .105" FO front work great for me. But if you want to mess with rear height, gotta go adjustable.
  21. Still waiting for mine. I spoke with DP yesterday afternoon and she nice lady said the black magwells would be shipping this morning.
  22. I use this also. I am getting 1143 fps (unofficial) with the factory G34 barrel and 1050 fps with the KKM barrel. The KKM results from my G34 was the official chrono reading from the 2009 Golden Bullet match. I just started experimenting with the 14lb Wolff recoil spring. Still undecided on that spring. I just tried a friend’s reload which is 147 CMJ with 3.2 of TG (chrono'ed from my factory G34 barrel at 899 fps, 132 PF) and I can not believe the difference. So much softer with the 147's and the front sight is really easy to track. I am still having a hard time bringing myself to purchase a case of 147 MG's though. Getting 750 bullets less for the same price is what is making the call difficult, especially because I have full case of 124's left. I heard that. My load is good enough for me and I am very used to it. I will definitely stick with the 124's and save a few bucks for .40 and .45 fodder. In my case, the 13 lb spring really made a difference in felt recoil.
  23. Love my Ghost. Extremely smooth draw and the lock feels very secure. To be fair, I haven't tried a CR Speed.
  24. 124 gr CMJ, 4.6 gr. of w231, and a 13lb. recoil spring feels excellent. Makes 137 PF and feels like I am shooting an airsoft...not that I do...
