  1. I still use it, learning to like it, lots of info on that site. Frank is one of the good guys. Everything evolves, relearn it and enjoy it's content.
  2. Most of the loading for this caliber has been with H4350, I have seen loads with hybrid 100. H4350 has been difficult to find, however there seems to be some of the imr4350 available. I have read the debate regarding are the powders the same or not, reviewed the loads, and IMR seems to be different and in most cases required an extra grain of powder over the Hogdon variety. What is your load with IMR4350?, has it been successful?, how is the pressure?, and were you able to load what you need in the case without compressing the load?
  3. Anyone see or use the 8x40. Have a 1x5 on the 3G rifle, and very impressed with it, was looking for something to use on F/1000yd bullseye gun tx
  4. Good report, thanks. I want something to control recoil and muzzle rise, the muzzle rise is too much, I am loosing the target, follow through is non existent and I can't see the round splash. I have looked into JEC, PWS, JP and a couple others. I like the mounting option of the Seekins and Badger , finding them in stock has been a pain
  5. Really like it. Nice turrets and easy to sight in, shot 25 , 100 and was to 600 . Tried to loosen the set screws to adjust zero stops. Instruction state the knobs should free wheel but they feel tight.... Any tricks or ideas?
  6. totally agreeFor another 18 month, until the next election looms , history might repeat itself
  7. Nice set up and comes with proper shims, will look into it
  8. thunderbeast cb9 or the newly released Harvester are the only two I have considered, just not much known about the Harvester at the moment
  9. Thanks for the info, yes, I have been going all the stats from the precision rifle blog, have looked at the TB cb9 lustingly , and have looked at a badger as well. I am leaning towards a suppresor, but my lady was not keen on getting more attention from the feds........and might instal something temporarely until the TB gets out of NFA holding.
  10. Been thinking of replacing the flash hider, what has worked for you? .750 barrel sig SSG 3000
  11. Haven't seen an inventory like that in CO, since pre-08......
  12. Might want to mention, gun model, OAL you intend to load to, and type of bullet, they all make a tremendous difference.
  13. did not know the "Max" was being produced in 40 now, good news, lots of bang for the buck. 40 has never been a problem with other sig models, so it is not a point of worry.
  14. +1 on that, same set up for 9mm and 40. never touched the failsafe rod, just moved the powder die to position 3...........use a little case lube and go for it.
  15. Thanks , I will check it out...yes, my oal at the moment as well. Did not like the fact the crimp could land in the groove, but I was noticing a few rounds not fit in the gauge because the bullet seems cock eyed in the brass.......switch to a plated or jacketed and the problem is gone. So it could be long oal and the groove
  16. Exactly. Most of the real burnt looks t have seen have been with titegroup
  17. yes, noticed those, the 165s look nicely made, the 180s might take some time to start producing, however it will be time to order soon.......
  18. Check you load, you may not be getting enough of a seal, also certain powders are dirty others not so much
  19. I have tried and really liked, the coated/epoxy bullets, and am interested in any that may not have the lube groove in 40 180gr since I am loading long. I read that several of the manufacturers are planning on going grooveless, but does anyone have any ready now?
  20. Welcome, come shoot with us on the other side of the mountain
  21. Thank you for the info, as long at the MTAC 1-4 fits, should be good to go. Have the scope on the way, trying to have accessories ready.
  22. Which one, they list two, 1-4 or 1-6? power ring 1.76 or 1.80?
  23. nice, thanks for the info, will have to wait for some more to come ashore
