    OAL 40sw

    I run a 1.22 OAL in my SV's
  2. I'm with the group saying if it goes bang 100% use them. I am also concerned about how they seat.
  3. As a chemical guy and an IPSC and Bench Rest shooter I am conflicted with the information presented. I would need to see more or the actual data before I would change my ways. olp73 - While not an expert by any stretch, the practice of "shooting the lead out" sounds risky! My cleaning ways: - A brush never touches any of my barrels - IPSC gun (SV & Wilson) cleaned ~every 3,000 rounds or before major matches (Glocks cleaned 1/year or 10,000 rounds) - Bench Rest barrel cleaned ~ 100 rounds (excluding break-in)
  4. Extremely Cool! Its hard to imagine that is a stock spring, but it is what it is - fricking cool!
  5. PB - That sounds like that Zen thing you talk about!
  6. My JP runs like a top when I keep it lubed up correctly.
  7. The only thing that sucked about the game last night was my Fantasy Football running back Chris Johnson blew chunks. Now that the season is here I have no excuse not to get on the treadmill on Sunday nights while watching the game.
  8. I'll need to forward to the wife so she realizes #8 is not just me being a horndog, I'm trying to relieve stress!
  9. I'm with Duck and Jared on this one. The timer puts stress on my practice runs and allows me to find when I've gone past my 100% (all 'A's) mark and at what time. This has allowed me to increase my draw/first shot speed significantly.
  10. Is anyone using this combination and where did you land with the powder charge. I am at the VV book max of 5.4 grs. and I'm only at 148 PF! I am shooting a 5" Wilson CQB, 0.469 crimp and 1.25 OAL. Any help is recommended. Thanks!
  11. Nice shootn, Chris! I'm sure you'll do well at the Nationals!

Nobody patrolling downtown Cincy, good time to watch the fireworks on TV!
  13. I was taking classes and don't know of any books or DVD to recommend, but am sure they are out there to be had. Side note - the parents of one my my neighbors (his and her Drs.) are Chinese. They are in their 90's and practice Tai Chi everyday outside if it is not raining or snowing. They are in great shape and also walk the neighborhood daily. Good luck on your fitness journey!
  14. Graham, Tai Chi will limber and relax you. I am a martial arts Grand Master and practiced Tai Chi for a few years with my wife. Based on your "original stated goal" this excercise could get you to your goal, unlike the cap gun example mentioned above.
  15. I was responding to Gram's stated desire, not a boot camp or anyone elses idea of fitness.
  16. Gram, Just walking 45 minutes per day will likely give you the boost you need. My wife tried the Netflix videos and ended up purchasing the Jerri Love tapes. My wife is in excellent shape and does the videos 4 times per week in 1 hour intervals. I found you really can't go wrong with any improvement in your fitness. As the Nike saying goes, Just do It!
  17. I have a 1911 Marvel conversion unit that runs like a top. I is as least as acurate as my S&W Model 41.
  18. I'm stuck at 86 on the Limited wait list. It actually went up to 87 last week for some reason. I'm still hopefull!
