  1. 4.7gr of WST fills more than half the case. Does 4.2gr of Titegroup even make minor for you with a 115 CMJ?
  2. Hee, hee....so's Nemo! <insert viagra wisecrack here>
  3. I am also very new at it, so take any other advice before mine, but I did notice that when adjusted "too tight" I was expanding the primer pockets too much and had primers literally falling out. Once I got to that point, I backed off on the adjustment until I could feel a consistent pressure necessary to seat every primer. The adjustment id seem to be different for different brands of brass.
  4. They closed at 5:00 and I got there at 4:32....2 minutes after they locked the doors. Glad to hear I only missed things worth missing!
  5. They *did* film you...thankfully they brought a backup camera.
  6. I watched it last night (thanks, Paul!) Tommy was briefly in 4 or 5 shots. I was glad they interviewed Jacob...he really paid attention and was very focused. Of course I had to call my wife in, "See, look right here when they pan across this group of people, that's my blue sleeve from my shirt...RIGHT THERE! See? I'm famous!!"
  7. Got this from Rhonda today! We can order the DVD straight from Shooting USA: http://www.shootingusastore.com/items/dvds...inic-detail.htm
  8. Is .223 required? WWB gives me a 161 PF out of my 9mm rifle. Granted, it's not worth much over 100 yards, but for close stuff it's cheap and leaves larger, more visible holes.
  9. I sure hope they got some video of Nick, preferably an interview. I had the pleasure of speaking with him on several occasions and was very impressed. You two have many reasons to be proud.
  10. No, but when I get my copy I can forward one (VHS) to you. PM me an address.
  11. I still haven't got to see it, yet, though a friend did tape it for me. Did you notice if Tommy was on there?
  12. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009/01/20/sw-mp15-22-a-22-lr-tactical-rifle/ Edited to add: Just found this...looks like it is a plastic upper and lower: http://www.tactical-life.com/online/produc...=products_title
  13. I've only done a few 3 gun matches, but the ones I've done either had you ground your weapon when you finished with it and switched to another or, occasionally, load a limited number of rounds in the rifle, shoot it till empty, then leave it slung while finishing with pistol. How would you handle your transitions from rifle to pistol and then back to rifle?
  14. I had that problem with CCI primers in mixed headstamp range brass I reloaded. I don't use CCI primers any more because of that.
  15. Sunday morning is fine. If you want it before then, I can drop it off so you can familarize her with it at home before we go.
  16. Paul, She's welcome to try the M&P9 that Tommy shoots with the small backstrap. I'm still not sold on moving the mag release to the right side, though, as it results in a mag dropping out at least 2-3 times per match for him. If you want, I'll even throw together some less-than-minor loads for her to try with it.
  17. I blew out 2 discs (higher up, C6-C7 and C7-T1) and didn't get them fixed for a year. The numness and loss of fine motor control to my right hand is apparently permanent, as it has been 4 years since the surgery. They missed the blown discs and broken C7 when I initially went to the hospital after the crash and the numbness and loss of control set in and got worse over time. If I had gotten it fixed early, I might be in better shape.
  18. All this time I thought it was "Flexmonkey". Seriously, when I first saw your userid I then looked very closely at the picture to see if I could find an acrobatic chimp. To this day, my mind still inserts a "k".
  19. Here in GA/SC we had some counties cancel school last night because there was a chance of snow today! Ironically, I don't think one of those counties even got any. We (in SC) did get a light dusting this morning, but it never stuck to any road surfaces.
  20. I put them all in the same container, I just put the empty ones upside down.
  21. That is just plain stupidity. My 11 year old son has asked on many occasions to "run the timer". I have explained to him (also on many occasions...we have thick heads in our family) that running the timer is the least important part of being an RO. I, too, have not yet been able to attend an RO class and I prefer to score than RO. Where is this class within 3 hours? I might be able to make that one.
  22. Can you (and if so, how) shoot steel indoors? I figure that the bullet has to go somewhere and even if you angle the surface down a little, it still might bounce back up into the lights / ceiling.
