  1. Well worth the money to send graco your stock and have them install the comb hardware. One slip on the bandsaw and you've just bought yourself a new 300.00 buttstock and they do a fantastic job too.
  2. You should really make contact with some of the better custom revo smiths. Hamilton Bowen is the best in the business and a helluva fine guy to boot. Jim Stroh, Andy Horvath, Alan Harton and Dave Clements are also fine revolverites. Check Bowen Classic Arms gallery and take a peek at the made from scratch S&W profile barrels on Ruger single actions! Make you want to slap yo momma they look so good!
  3. Broke into my car. Had a Caspian LW comm 45 and a Kahr 9 stolen from the glovebox!! The Kahr can be replaced but the Caspian was the first gun I built about 12 years ago. You can't buy an alum frame from them anymore. This one really sucks getting stolen. Little chance of either one bein recovered. Thinking about replacing both with an STI VIP I hope the SOB shoots himself with the cocked and locked 45!
  4. Fords refinishing in Fl still does black chrome afaik. Fordsguns.com
  5. Called Clausing. Great guy answered my call. He verified my machine was built in '62 and emailed the correct manual for my production series. Thanks everyone for your help.
  6. Thanks Warren. I wasnt even sure if Clausing was still in operation.
  7. I was fortunate enough to have an 8520 given to me last week. It's in great shape except for a little bit of surface rust that I've already addressed. It's a fairly simple mill but I would like a manual if anybody has one I could copy. Does anybody have much experience on these nice old mills? Thanks,Ed
  8. Check Missouri bullets too. Been shooting their cast boolits for about 5 years. 100% pleased. 230gr RN are $43/500 200 lswc are $39 I think
  9. Looking for some single stack spacers for my pouches. Check CR web site and Shooters Conn. both out of stock. Anybody know who has them in stock? May have to make some if I can't find any. Was thinking Delrin sheet. Any opinions?

    Cancer

Absolutely hate it. Lost my mom this morning to it. Ovarian. 77 years old and a picture of good health. Heaven gained a new choir member this morning. I'm praising God that he took her peacefully and healed her for good. Amen
  11. I'd buy a stack from you if price is reasonable. Really was a great mag. PM me if you decide what to do Ed
  12. Fords refinishing in Fl does black chrome
  13. You're right but this is for a paying customer who has asked me to see if we can and I'm up for the challenge. You poney up more money than him and I'll tell him to shoot aguilas. Til then, we work on subsonic, functioning, 223's
  14. Im attempting to work up a load for a suppressed AR and wondered if anybody else has found a good one. Started with 8grs Trailboss under Sierra MK 77gr. It was subsonic but didn't offer to cycle the bolt. Anybody know a subsonic load that will operate the gun? Is it even possible? Thought about changing buffer spring to 9mm and see what that did. Thanks Ed
  15. I shoot alot of cast lead in a comped Bianchi gun. Although way below major, still get a leaded comp. Ive found a small burr for the Dremel made for wood works great. Gets right down in the bottom of the comp but isnt hard enough to damage it. I clean it about every 4 matches and can do it in less than 10 mins. If there are any scraps left the burr couldn't reach, a small flathead screwdriver (the kind the autoparts stores use to give away) works great to scrape the rest out. I also spray the comp with silicone spray which helps to keep the lead from sticking so much
  16. Ive got this bottle of brass cleaner bought from some door to door vendor called Colonel Brassy. It will clean the heck out of brass, silver, chrome etc. I got to wondering about adding it to tumbling media but not sure if it would weaken brass. Here is what their website says: Colonel Brassy is a water based cleaning compound mixture of flux-calcined, glycols and H20 Citric Acid-4.5% Stearoamphoacetate-12% Propylene Glycol-18% Diatomaceous Earth-24% Water/Inerts-41.5% Anybody see a reason this would cause any weakening of brass?
  17. Damn I'm more confused on these bullets now than before. I have about 1400 of the #160, 125gr JHP's which are .356 Shooters Connection has the #135, 115gr HAP style, .355 AND The # 136, 125gr HAP style ..355 AND # 161, 125 gr JHP .356 bullet! I wish I could get 50 of each and see which worked best for me. Anybody willing to sell me 50 of whatever you shoot?
  18. Are y'all shooting the new #136 9mm bullet that looks like the HAP or the old 125 gr JHP (#161) .356? I thought the #136 was a .355 bullet. My barrel slugs .3555 and it likes a .356 bullet. I've tried 355 Montana's and they pattern, not group , like buckshot in my 38 super.
  19. Powder valleys got the 121 in stock but not the 125gr. Anybody use them? I've got abt 1600 of the 125s but was gonna order more while I got the money Ed
  20. I've got a bit of WST I'll load up and see how it shoots with the zeros. Also bought some Autocomp a while back. Haven't even opened the can yet. I know some folks using it in 9 minor loads. Anybody tried it in their Bianchi gun?
  21. I've been shooting bianchi for about 5 years, open class. Gun is a Para p14 frame, Springfield slide tritopped and lightening cuts, Wilson 38 super barrel with unknown 2 port comp, Caspian shroud with Aimpoint comp scope. I've been shooting 4.8gr WW231 under Missouri's 125gr .356 TC cast bullet. I know, I know, you can't shoot cast in a comp barrel. Well I do and it's accurate as hell. I just have to clean my comp every 3 or 4 matches to get the led out. I do have a couple Thou Zero 125gr 38 super bullets I want to work up a load for. What are some of you shooting bullet and powder wise? Should I even be worried about working the comp? At the power factor we're shooting at, recoil is so soft anyway. Thanks in advance, Ed
  22. I bought a purple primer eater in the video about 2 weeks ago. I'll never go back to stabbing primers. Works exactly the way he shows it does.
  23. I've got an old 27 punche'd out to 44 spl that I've had the thought of having Bobby @FGW Atranite. Anybody else done a similar finish on their revo? Got any pics you can post and how is it wearing? Ed
  24. Check the NRA week long crash courses. They usually do at the major gunsmith colleges. The one want2race mentioned is at Montgomery Comm College. Sometimes the summer courses are taught by industry greats. I did a Ruger SA class there taught by Hamilton Bowen. Learned more in that week than I ever coulda on YouTube or on my own.
