  1. Hey Kevin, I think the wheel setup on that cart is the same as on mine so I can show you how to add big wheels pretty easy.
  2. Erik, Use the Dillon lube! If you have to use the One Shot, use more than you would on pistol cases and let it dry completely before sizing. Drill and tap the stuck case with a 1/4-20 thread. Take a small 1/4 inch drive socket wrench (3/8 or 7/16?) that just fits over the stuck case and bears against the die. Thread the 1/4-20 bolt through the socket into the case and tighten until it pops out. I have a gen-u-wine RCBS stuck case removing tool if you need to borrow one.
  3. The intent was the ability to use/replace pins of the proper size for the frame hole. You've seen the result. Just buy a one piece replacement. Any of the name brands work well. I prefer the SVI because the face of the lever that bears against the slide stop/thumb safety spring has a slight bevel/detent that works to hold the slide stop in the down position.
  4. Boy is my face red! No it isn't because of Janet, it's because I left out the most important part of why I was offended and most of all because I just flat didn't notice that the post was in the "What I Like" forum, Oooops! Then the post is closed before I get another chance to finish. So here's my rant. It ain't the nudity stupid! Personally I believe it's probably better for kids to see nudity than to see Freddy/Jason/slasher et al. However there is a big difference between nudity and sexuality. It's the inappropriateness stupid! Halftime at a football game is for cute wholesome cheerleaders, marching bands, hot dogs and beer. It's the poor rolemodels stupid! It is not OK to rip the clothes off a woman just because you need a publicity boost! It is not OK for the woman to just go along with it! It's the lying stupid! It is not OK to plan something, execute the plan and then say Oops! It was a 'wardrobe failure' 'it wasn't planned', 'it was an accident', etc... It's you stupid! Janet Jackson, Jason Timberlake, The head of CBS, MTV, etc... It's me stupid! Next time I'll check which forum the posting is in! OK I'm done, put a fork in me!
  5. It looked like only one entrance and one exit hole.
  6. I think you're right Brian. I was trying to force the gun on the first shot and letting the gun float onto the next target after the second shot. On the second target array the difference in recoil was much smaller because I was having to look at the sights. Next time I'll let the gun float from one side of the A zone onto the other side of the A zone instead of just from target to target.
  7. Sorry Sam, but the Super(Toilet)Bowl has a world wide audience. No wonder the rest of the world thinks we've gone down the toilet! Gee thanks MTV (Moron Transgender Vidiots) the nice folks that brought us JACKASS the movie and the series. What really ticks me off is that nobody has the guts to take responsiblity for it. The whole flamin' mob from CBS, & MTV is lying through their orthodentia about 'wardrobe malfunctions' 'accidents', etc... I guess that's what you'd expect from that bunch of Clinton supporters, lies, damn lies, and more lies! And they probably expect us to believe them. Maybe next year we can get TidyBowl to sponsor the game.

    Bad Afternoon

Too bad you avoided the Doggy Doo. Next time a little dab of Doggy Doo will do ya! Especially a little Doggy Doo down their cowl air vents, you know the interior air intakes at the bottom of the windshield. By the way the really gooey runny type works best!
  9. Well, I'll probably regret posting this considering the general disdain of Hoser stages, but here goes anyway. At a recent match one stage required carrying a large suitcase (tool case actually) from a barrel on one side of the stage to another barrel on the opposite side of the stage before the last shot was fired. I shot the stage by engaging some of the targets strong hand only on the way to the opposite barrel, then finishing up the remaining targets freestyle after I got rid of the suitcase. After looking at my video I noticed big muzzle flip on the first shot on each target and much less muzzle flip on the second shot. Hmmm? Here's a link to the video clips. 10. Well, how about double the penalty for misses and no-shoots for Master/GM shooters and leave it alone for A and below?
  11. I suspect the reason for no 'Universal' take down hole is because there is no 'Universal' STI/SVI.
  12. Oh man do those book titles bring back some childhood memories! Number 19 for example, when I was little I always thought Mom and Dad were talking about all the little bumps, scrapes, stitches, splints, casts, and emergency room visits I suffered as an typical child. Boy was my face red when I learned what they really meant! Number 5 sure does bring a tear to my eye as well! I think I put both of Doc. Werner's kids through graduate school. Well OK my dad's union health insurance that paid for all those stitches, splints, casts, emergency room visits, and hospital stays put Steven and Carmen through grad school. Number 26 answers that old question of why we always had plastic tableware I guess my 3 older brothers learned about Mr. Fork and Ms. Electrical Outlet 11 years before I was born (see number 19 above!) Ah Number 16 that book was Aunt Ethels favorite!
  13. This attitude stinks (Sorry Tightloop, just couldn't resist the pun!) Thanks Neil, for putting it into better words than I did. I think the 'Winner take all', "Second place is first loser' attitudes do little for our sport. It certainly doesn't encourage the new shooter who is just starting in the game to see such attitudes that imply directly or indirectly that anything less than first place is unworthy. Saying "You suck because you didn't win" will encourage some to work harder to succeed, but it will cause far more to just walk away from the sport because they get enough of this type of attitude elsewhere. Erik, Cash payouts for the class winners is fine, but you need to recognize the 2nd, and 3rd place shooters with plaques, trophies, something! I still remember the look on your face when you got your first 2nd place trophy. Of course I can't remember which match it was
  14. Oops, sorry Erik. The Dillon gauges are smaller than my chamber, but are slightly looser than either of my Wilson/Midway gauges. Rounds that will pass the Dillon may fail in the Wilson/Midway gauges. One of my Midway gauges is out of round, loaded rounds will sometimes fail, but then pass if rotated 90 degrees.
  15. Well gee, I guess the Olympics have got it wrong! Considering that they award trophies all the way down to second loser! (third place) I think payouts, prizes, or trophies DO mean something to the average guy. Even on this forum not everybody here is going to be in the running for first place even on a good day. I suspect attendance would suffer if your payout scheme were known in advance and if not know in advance it probably will make people unhappy enough to consider not shooting the match the following year, if not actually angry enough to convene a lynch mob.
  16. Yes the case gauges are supposed to be smaller than the chamber, but not all case gauges are created equal. I've seen 2 case gauges for the same caliber where one would pass a loaded round and the second would fail the same round. The Dillon case gauges are pretty consistantly sized, but are on the generous side of max. cartridge size. The Wilson case gauges are tighter, but aren't as consistantly sized. Whenever I buy a new case gauge or new gun I always check that a fired case out of the gun will not fit into the case gauge, ie the case gauge is smaller than the chamber.
  17. No, absolutely NOT! Pull the bullets, use the powder to fertilize your garden, pop the primers (a revolver chambered in the appropriate caliber helps) Then carefully drop them at the range where your nearest competitors will find them! Or if you're really in a bad mood don't bother picking up the brass of the guy that's kicking your behind, just hand him this brass.
  18. Actually there are 2 fire extinguishers in my photos. There is a small white extinguisher sitting on the bench directly behind the middle 550 press, and beside the granite block I use for the digital scale. A larger red one is mounted beside the door frame directly below the sombero.

    Outranked!

Yeah, but sounds more like a SouthWeird, er SouthWest Airlines attendant than Quantas.
  20. Like I've said before the Factory Crimp Die is just a band-aid for improper sizing. When it irons out that .401 lead bullet bulge on the upstroke what size is your .401 bullet now? .400, .399, .398? What was your bullet pull before the FCD and after? Are you sizing the case small enough to prevent the now smaller diameter lead bullet from pushing into the case? How consistent is your overall length? Mine actually pushed the lead bullets up so I got very inconsistent OAL.
  21. You should try pavement motorcycle racing if you think off-road racing is expensive. Ouch! I almost went Battle of the Twins racing with my Sportster back when the class first started around '88. I think entry fees were $100 and practice days were $65. The bikes were pretty reasonably priced at $4,000 plus a couple grand more for suspension, tuning, leathers, etc... But I wasn't getting any younger and I kept remembering how painful my dislocated hip was and how long it hurt and how much I hate road rash so I decided to cheap out and go competitive shooting (and screw up my knees and elbows instead.) Of course there's alway golf (as if they would let me anywhere near a golf course!) I do wish you hadn't posted the parking fees and gate fees, hopefully none of the shooting ranges/gun clubs will get bad ideas about adding additional fees!
  22. Perhaps we should push for legislation requiring more diversification among the major media outlets. Since almost all of the major news outlets are owned by only 4 or 5 corporations maybe they should all be forced into partial ownership of firearms manufacturers, motorcycle manufacturers, sporting goods, etc... Basically anything the liberals hate! Let's force them to take a more balanced fiscal outlook on their news coverage!
  23. Believe it. My 46Re transmission is based on the old Chrysler 727 TorqueFlight. A lot of the parts interchange all the way back to 1963!
  24. The Jato story is most definately false. Myth Busters built a slightly more powerful version and could only get about 160 MPH. Somewhere I've seen the math done and it would take something like 3,000 ft/lbs thrust for 20 seconds (or more?) to break 300 with a Chevy Impala starting at 80 MPH.
