    CZ Shadows 2 is coming

I keep seeing folks talk about the CGW hammer. Is their production legal hammer a part they make or is it one that's from CZC? My understanding is that if it's production legal, it can't be one they make?

Yeah. I really didn't need to buy it. I've got my S1 rockin. Don't need to be messing with another gun. Oh well. We'll see.

Yeah. I heard they had some and called and got one. I don't care what it looks like. So,.... thanks to everyone not wanting a poly. I didn't have to get on a waiting list and still got one.

Not sure I understand what the issue is with the poly coated ones is? It's nitride under the poly. Is it because folks want the blue grips or just don't want the poly coat?
  5. Thanks for the info. I've never switched lead for plated. Not with the same load anyways. After all my plated bullets are gone I'm thinking of going jacketed. That'll be more more velocity drop.
  6. Please post your findings. I'm interested in the JHP velocities. I've got some 147 gr RN Zeros I'm wanting to try.
  7. I think you will. I'd guess 3.2 will work for you around the 130 pf. 3.3 was getting me a min of 127 pf.
  8. Funny, I just got my email back from my AC about this. The more I read the rules the more I start to thinks it's legal. So I asked. While he didn't say it the "Accu Shadow" was legal, he did say if a gun meets the requirements it would be legal. I see nothing in the rules prohibiting it. I'm thinking it's GTG. Guess who's picking up one today from his ffl?! This guy! Might shoot it in my first sanctioned match next month.
  9. Did I miss where you said what gun your shooting? If it's got a short chamber and you're loading too long, maybe that's causing issues?
  10. You getting any flattened primers?
  11. Shot 20 rnds today out of SP-01. 147 gr Xtrme. 3.3 gr Prima V. Win primers. OAL was 1.130" Lowest was 865 fps. Average was around 878 and SD was 11. I accidentally hit delete string before writing the info down but I do remember the LO and SD. I measured all 20 rnds after loading. The shortest was 1.122" and the longest was 1.139". That's a little more than I want. I was loading on my 650. Gonna load up some more on my 1050 w/Mark7 next. That should help elimate any issues with me pulling the handle inconsistently.
  12. While an email isn't official, DNROI has already given their interpretation. It's legal. Though, reading the rules is somewhat confusing. If D22.4 was under D21 (allowed modifications) it'd be more clear. They listed it under the section for prohibited mods and features. But it's worded weird. To me at least.
  13. I thought the same thing. Just saying, why not kill two birds with one stone. Know what I mean? Nobody is gonna complain it's to easy to do reloads!
  14. Can't believe Sig didn't bevel the dang mag well! I shot a friends 320 and liked it except for the mag well. You'd think when designing a new gun it'd be easy to implement? I guess it was just cheaper to not do it?
  15. Be great if they do. IHAVEGAS - help me out here. I'm new to USPSA. What's the problem with the current rule as you see it? The 1/4" working? Seems like, to me, the mag well can be altered as long as no external flaring is present.
  16. Yeah. Maybe stubborn is the wrong word.
  17. That's kinda what I was implying. Memphis asked DNROI. Troy responded. Memphis altered his magwell and will take that email with him. He may get a "stubborn" RO who interprets the rule another way and will not accept an email. I was just giving an example of what's legal (speedway) per a specific example given by Troy. I feel like USPSA is better at communicating rules with their RO's then say another sport. So, I'd hope this really wouldn't be an issue. To me it's pretty clear that beveling the mag well opening is legal. I even felt that way before hearing Troy's response. For me the only question is the 1/4" wording. Can the front to back beveled more than 1/4"?
  18. DNROI specifically said the sevigny speedwell is legal. Google that. As always, you could always get someone at equipment check that gives you a problem. I wonder if a screen shot from the email Memphis provided would be enough?
  19. Sweet! can someone explain CO to me? I thought it was gonna be production with optics?
  20. Why? Hope you're not wanting to shoot it in IDPA. It's not legal at any weight.
  21. That's very weird. You are using a coated bullet and I'm using a plated but you're average is 50 FPS faster. What was what I was getting with my Tanfo. I chroned these over two different days. I stood 10' from the chrono and the sky was overcast on both days. Got the exact same velocities (averages) on both days. Now im starting to think maybe I didn't do something right? I'm gonna try these again. Gonna use my RCBS chargemaster to dispense exactly 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and see what I get.
  22. Help me out here. Per Hodgdon's website, both are jacketed .355" 147 gr HP (different bullet manufacturers) out of the same test gun WSF - 147 gr HP traveling 900 fps = 30,100 PSI OAL is 1.169" Titegroup - 147 gr HP traveling 929 fps = 27,500 psi OAL is 1.100" Wouldn't the lower pressure equal less snappy recoil? I don't know if the pressure plays out the same for all bullets and calibers but for a 147 gr bullet it looks like TG would be/feel less snappy?
