  1. At what speed do you rehearse a stage? Do you run thru the stage in your head as fast as you can or at a slower pace than you'd actually shoot it. Or somewhere in between? I've always done it at a pretty fast pace. About as fast as I can. Thinking I'll be shooting it at a fast pace so why not run thru it mentally at a fast pace. Recently I've been trying come up with something that's gonna help with a more consistent performance. Not sure if running thru the stage at a slower pace is gonna help or not. My thinking is it may allow for better rehearsal of everything but when the buzzer goes off a person would actually pick up the pace quite a bit. (Trying to hit that 90% zone) I'm trying to find that balance of speed between practice and match performance. I'm currently on the too fast side of shooting a stage in a match. Which I'm sure everyone here has experienced that works well sometimes but the disaster factor is way higher . I think it may be easier to pick up the pace rather than slow down? Thoughts?
  2. Now you tell me! I sold that barrel. Though the stock glock gets pretty good accuracy. I think I've got a 2" @ 25 load with 135 Acme RN, 3.4 G34 prima v @ 1.135"
  3. Yeah. I'll probably just go with a Stock 2 or stock 3.
  4. I don't know if his is tweaked. Proper training would have solved my hangups. However, I didn't want to waste time. When incoild be training on other fundamentals. I was already good with the cz so I switched back. Made Master with my Shaodw. If you're not having issues then don't worry about it and forget younger heard anything about it ! On a side note, where you gonna get another LP from?
  5. I really liked the LP. I sold because I didn't want to hollow out the mag well opening. I HATE the magwell! I thought instead of wasting more time I'd switch back to cz. I can great with a cz. Though, I've been shooting my G34 for the last month. Anyways, I'd probably still be shooting my LP if it had a better mag well.
  6. I've had both. Both are awesome. Like said above, if you've already got one, buying the other will not make you a GM by itself. Saying that, I switch guns way to much so if you want one I can understand. The Shadow 2 comes closer to competition ready than any other gun out there. I personally couldn't tell a difference between the Shadow 1 and shadow 2 as far as recoil. I could tell a difference with the Shadow 1 and Lim Pro. The Lim Pro had less recoil. To my hands at least. If someone didn't have any experience with either, I'd recommend the Shadow 2. If you got a LP running now, I'd stick with it. Knowing how I am, I bet I'll get another shadow2 and another Tanfo.
  7. It's legal. I shoot at club number 1 and asked some of the folks from HQ. Good to go!
  8. The stock 2 has wbat I'd call a bull barrel. Like a 1911. I googled this gun and it has a barrel like a glock or other poly/striker guns. Maybe it's got a thicker barrel but I wouldn't call that a bull barrel. Saying that, who knows how IDPA would rule on that? Doesn't help that Sig is specifically calling it a bull barrel. Gun looks cool though!
  9. I wasn't until I switched to my glock 34 and change out the holster from the bladetech for the CZ to the Comp tac for the 34. Still using the same 1/2" spacers. I think it's a combo of the grip profile and the bladetech was almost over the 2" rule. The g34 is about 1/4" closer. I had to raise my 34 high. Like IDPA.
  10. My guess would be if it had a bushing, either a separate piece or has a hole in the slide for the same purpose, that would equal a standard barrel and be legal. I haven't seen the 320 X5 so I'm not sure what that looks like.
  11. I'm not trying to argue or start any arguments. I don't see how its any differnt. If he buys a Shadow upper. He needs to replace the frame for that gun. If he has a sp-01, why can't he take that frame off and use it to replace the frame for the shadow upper? I said what I said because you were saying 6 and I was saying half a dozen but you think 6 is not legal and I think half a dozen is, and if somehow that was the case, then that would be a stupid rule! Now, if the club he shoots at says he can't shoot a Shadow because it's not on the approved list then that's a club issue. The rules for the game says he can replace the frame. So, again, if he has a Shadow upper with no frame, then he'd need to replace the frame, since he doesn't have the original frame to that gun. If he has another gun that has a frame that will work, and is SSP legal, then he can replace the shadows frame with the SP-01 frame and have a SSP legal gun. How and why he got each individual part makes no difference. Is it a way around the state laws? ... yes. Is it legal per the rules book?..... yes. To me at least.
  12. How's it a lie? If he has an upper and no frame for it, then he needs to replace the frame. He has a SSP legal frame. Rules say he can replace the frame. Kinda surprised we're still talking about this.
  13. If for some reason someone questions you, because sometimes the rules are stupid, just say you replaced the frame per the rules.
  14. No......he's talking about replacing the frame. An identical frame from.the manufacturer. That's allowed. Understand?
  15. I have an Shadow Orange and I had a Shadow 2. If I was recommending one to a friend that didn't have either, and they were just wanting to shoot production, I'd recommend the S2. I've had a few other S1. I personally don't think the Shadow Orange is worth the extra $$$ over the regular shadow. Especially since I replaced the grips. S2 is gonna come with two sets of satfites. So, if you're like me and accidentally bump the safeties up, you won't need to buy another set and fit them. Also, no need to take out mag release safety and bend it on the S2 to prevent mag not dropping. All you really need to do to the S2 is replace the hammer spring and its good to go! Oh yeah and its cheaper.
  16. Yes. Just looked. E. Frames may be replaced with identical frames from the same manufacturer.
  17. You can interchange parts form one SSP legal gun to another SSP legal gun. The SP-01 may not have the same rear sight cut as the shadow. So if you have to mill the slide, then that'll bump you into ESP. So, as long as you didn't have to modify the frame/slide and the parts are stock on another SSP legal gun, you're gonna be good go.
  18. Yup, I tried ram shot too. Had the same results.
  19. I'm using Prima V. It's good. Once I'm done with my remaining 8# I may try clay dot.

I thought it was just Re contouring the magwell. How does it add weight?
  21. Clays used tho be the "magic" powder for 9mm several years ago. I really liked it when I used it. Actuate, soft, clean. Seems like most folks found something else during the last powder shortage. Is new clays as good? Don't see much on this forum about it anymore.
  22. Seems like the blue bullets coating comes off easier than any off the others. You'll end up with blue fingers. So I would think the coating are not exactly the same. Don't know if that equates to anything performance wise. Doubt it.
