  1. Another vote for shooters connection they support our sport and have great customer service.
  2. Ive been shooting a g35 in limited for two years now. Since day one i have wanted a 2011 will it make me better who knows however i often find myself wondering if i was shooting a 2011 would i be better. The other thing that made my decision to order a 2011 is i ultimately want to shoot open and by having a 2011 in limited i will get familiar with the grip and controls before taking on the challenges of finding the dot.
  3. You can never have to many guns. If it was me i would keep it because you will get the urge to shoot single stack again and regret selling it especially afte ryou had it set up the way you wanted it.
  4. Shoot l10 as it seems popular in your area. I shoot limited for the same reason.
  5. I would just get it from shooters connection. They are awesome and ship suoer fast Plus they support our sport
  6. If you like shooting the m&p and want to keep costs down you can go with a m&p pro in 40 and get some base pads and you will be set up. Me ive been shooting limited with a glock 35 for a couple of years and im now waiting on my cheely limited 5" long dust cover to be built.
  7. Ive had good luck with my pro chrono
  8. Buy the m&p and order a cheely. If you Can swing it buy the edge and have a gun built by cheely that way you have a backup. I have been shooting a glock in limited while i wait for my cheely 5" ldc.
  9. shooters connection bag is what i use it has teh built in pouches.
  10. You also get a hunting trip with r lee
  11. It makes a big difference having it set up and ready to go. Makes it easier to dryfire and ensure you have what you need for a match. I also have different colored mag pouchs for different divisions to help me make sure i grab the right belt.
  12. I dont normally take my mags apart during a match but it helos having the basepads
  13. you dont need the sight pusher save the money and use a punch. i use the tools that dawson send with his sights on my glocks.
  14. Thats whats great about these matches you can shoot different areas and see different set ups.
  15. Would it even be worth it to use half a speed belt for IDPA or would a thick leather belt work out better? Sorry for the late reply i must hav e missed your question. I use a wilderness belt for idpa beacause thats what i wear but using the inner belt would work just fine. I just prefer to keep my gear seperate for the divisions i shoot so i dont end up tsking the wrong thing to a match.
  16. 4.6 grains tight group under a montana gold 180g fmj at 1.126 oal.
  17. Off to a good start. One thing to add is when shooting idpa you can only use one part of your belt as they only allow the belt to be in the belt loops.
  18. I shoot a g35 in limited all i have done ot it is add a dawson ice magwell and dawson basepads to add capacity. You can also do work to the grip but if you want to shoot production you have to make sure you stay within the guidlines for stippling in production.
  19. i get a variation with mixed head stamp as well so for major matches i make sure i use the same headstamp.
  20. Is this a "middle" load? Would it still be best to drop back 10% and work up? Thanks Thats the load i use for major matches it gives me a 5 power factor cushion at the chrono. It will probable be a little slower out of your xd due to the shorter barrel. For minor i have been using 4.3 grains behind the same bullets. You should play with the loads to balance the softness and accuracy you are looking for but those loads should be a good starting point.
  21. I used blue locktite on the front sight i put on my glock
  22. Try a couple of different guns out to get an idea of what feels good to you. A couple of guys from my local club let me shoot their custom limited guns and it helped me decide between a 6" and a 5". I decided on a 5" long dust cover from cheely. I have been shootung a glock for the last two years. And am looking forward to my gun being finished.
