  1. At an Irish Wedding, someone yelled...... "Would all of the married men please stand next to the one person who has made your life worth living." The Bartender was almost crushed to death!

    Friday Flame War

Your Mother's a Hamster and your Father smells of Elderberries! Pbttth! Actually, I hate not being able to sleep and having my biology running in circles. Partially due too having had both heat stroke and hypothermia. The internal thermostat is definitely wonky now.

    Which one?

Resurrection this. I'll have to say neither. Randi Rodgers (Holly Terror). She's a well rounded shooter and SASS world Champion. Scotch or Irish Whiskey?

    Vy Nodt?

    One of my In-laws?
  5. Ungh! The accountant said that this year's Family shooting vacation just went away. Found that out Friday morning, what a damper for the weekend.
  6. Nik, That follows right along with when I was still driving Heavies (Dump truck, Water Truck, Fire Engine, Loader, etc) and the pull out right in front with the attitude that a Big truck has Big Breaks and of course it is even more fun in bad conditions.
  7. Cans of shaving cream from the Dollar Store are also a blast to shoot with hollow points. . Who needs to spend big bucks on tannerite?
  8. What's that, like 10 miles for you guys out there? Maybe in SoCal (San Francisco/Sacramento South) Up here a 2 hour trip is at least 120 miles . Of course I am guilty of driving 60+ miles to go to dinner and a movie.
  9. Dude! You have me interested, but the nearest one is 2 hours by freeway away. I guess that I'll have to settle for a local Mom & Pop.
  10. Just got some pictures and It is an older cannon. Similar to the Patriot, but it has a mechanical lock. Straight Up, that sounds reasonable. We will have to see.
  11. I thought that I would ask the Benos group mind. The widow of one of my shooters would like to sell the gun safe and I have no idea of the value. It's 24"x30"x60" and has an electronic lock. Kinda fortuitous since we need one, but I want to be fair to both parties. Thanks,
  12. Siggy - Don't you just love when they quote "average" levels and most forget that each Dry year decreases the "Average". For a REAL Flame, we have had several wildfires within a 40 mile radius in the last two days with one being almost 200 Acres.
  13. You use a mag pouch to carry your multi tool after the original pouch wears out. A Blackhawk Single Stack mag pouch is the right size to carry a Leatherman Wave.
  14. Jimmy, At least this year the Contractor can't file a claim against us for a change in site conditions on the Bridge Replacement over Lake Shasta. Seriously, the filed a claim because the lake level came up the first year of construction.
  15. Interesting side note, I found out by accident that a Blackhawk Single Stack mag pouch will securely hold a leatherman wave. I find that it is better than the worn out leather pouch that it came with.
  16. Gotta just love when it feels COLDER at 65* than it does at 25*. Add to it, I have as much money tied up in ski gear as my 3-gun kit and STILL no snow within 3 states travel.
  17. Got a Pair of their Cowboy Packs too. Great boots and completely rebuild-able.
  18. Gee, the only downside there were the Schnees, but to make up for it, there are several pairs of Whites that get rotated through on a regular basis.
  19. Not 3gun, but I quail hunt with my Rossi Overland Coach gun with 20" tubes and use the daylights out of my 18-1/2" 870 (it has rem chokes) and will be my next 3gun shot gun. Knowing your tools is key, with the 870, I won't take long shots because I know how it patterns at distance. Just make sure that the plug is in if needed. I have been bugged in the field by other hunters and the game wardens, but I let it roll off like water on a duck's back. Key word here is knowing how your shotgun patterns at range with your hunting loads and the chokes that you have, steel and non-tox do perform differently than lead.
  20. Jensey, As a former EMS/Firefighter, I share your feelings on this. A big Thank You to you and all of our fellow coworkers who have the Holiday shift. I know the drill and still am on standby for my current job, even though I am a Civil Engineer now and waiting for Land slides and other disasters rather than medical emergencies
  21. +1 and they wonder why I prefer to ride solo any more. Another grump is those that like to wear Dark clothing and ride, Visibility is critical people!
  22. Mark, Your're right, even in CA we refer to them as Flatlanders. Still driving like they are in LA, but on Sierra Cement And they wonder why we just start closing the roads during storm events now. Had one PASS the plow doing 60+ WITH CHAINS. And they don't get it that snow conditions change
