I asked the powers that be once this question except is was why not allow 38 super as major in Ltd? Seemed to me an honest question. I was told that it would make far too many guns obsolete. They did not want to do that. I'm guessing if you substituted 9x19 for 38 super you would get the same answer.

The FC stamped 223 is notorious for loose primer pockets. A loose primer floating in your AR mag is not a good thing and even worse if it gets in the bolt carrier. It will lock the beast up tight. I would not buy once fired FC for 223. As for handgun brass. Once fired nickel cases from hydrshock is, IMHO, as good as it gets.
