  1. Open seems to be a dying class at least around here. I could buy a LOT of ammo to shoot CO with for the cost of an open gun, even if you are reloading.
  2. Just to revisit this for anyone else looking and since I got it yesterday and also got a chance to try it. It was exactly what I was looking for.
  3. Have you tried Patriot Defense aggressive grips? I picked up a set of their high swells. The aggressive texture is a hair too much but a light file makes them perfect IMO.
  4. Nevermind, I found them. MBX's site is terrible

    Shadow 2 in LO

You can adjust the pre and over travel on a regular DA/SA shadow as well, I don't see any advantage to SAO either, if I could have one or the other I’d much rather have a magwell than SAO on the shadow 2.
  6. New goals: Short term: -Develop a dry fire schedule 5-6 days a week addressing specific skills -x1 day a week outdoor live fire practice -Develop better "cold" match performance (performing at or near max on first stage) -Small group two day class spring '24 -Further develop stage programming specifically difficult stages -Carry Optics Nationals '24 Long term: -Get 10% better on classifiers.
  7. Tool bag is a great idea, i’ll take a look
  8. I'm sick of carrying around my wheeled bag with way too much #@$% in it. It'll still live in my truck at matches most likely but I'm looking for a much smaller shoulder bag. Requirements are- Room for my Shadow 2 in a small rug, 6 magazines, 200 rounds (usually in a SRO plastic case), magazine brush, mag loader, Sordins, Oakley sunglass case. Anything smaller than the Shooters Connection Pro bag? I have a feeling I'll just jam more crap in it as well.
  9. When I was a newer shooter I would purposefully shoot an open or “easier” target first, and avoid a first shot on steel like the plague. I was terrified of pulling a DA shot. Shoot your gun enough and it won’t matter. IMO trying to prep the trigger is not the way.
  10. I don’t want to jinx myself but if my math is correct I think I made master tonight with an 86.4% updated average. Recording it here to time stamp it. Hopefully it goes through Tuesday night My initial goal was to make Master in CO in less than 12 months and if I’m right I did it in a week less than 8. Time to make some new goals!

You can also have them milled for any optic you like which IMO is better than a plate- lower on slide, less screws to come loose. Cost is about $135 and 2 weeks. Cruise youtube, the CZ platform is pretty easy to work on once you figure it out.

No worries at all have you ever tried one with a reach reduction kit and flat trigger?

Of course, just use the safety when you holster. Or you can drop the hammer and have first shot be DA and still shoot LO.
  14. Looking for a single mag carrier for a shadow 2 mag to use during an appendix match. Any recommendations?
  15. Top screw is not compatible without their reach reduction disco.
  16. Literally never seen a GM not find the dot... ever. I have an SRO on my carry gun and soon to be a 507 comp. I don't even have a front sight post. Most self defense situations are within 7 yards. I don't need a dot or irons for that, it's a luxury.
  17. No problem. I have about 1000 rounds through mine and a buddy probably has more. Both milled by SBGW for an SRO. (CZ shadow 2) I used the SBGW recommended orange loctite
