Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Brian, As of this week, I am not able to access your blog. When I click on the link to read your entry, a Word Press Error pops up. Also, the older links on your blog are also throwing the same error. Any idea how this may be resolved? Cheers, RH
  2. JD1979, I feel your pain. The practice match and the scored match they used to have at Prado, as itchy mentioned, was great and is now greatly missed. There is non-reactive steel, accuracy based, Virginia count match held at the Palm Springs Gun Club on the 4th Saturday of every month. It's called the Speeding Zone II. It's not a Bianchi match but offers several diverse gun handling challenges along with some challenging accuracy demanding stages as well. Check it out if you get the chance. Cheers, RH
  3. Jim, Are the Zeros's .356 while the Campro's are .355? RH
  4. Meister Bullets also makes a slug kit that provides an array of slugs, lube and wooden dowels to help get you squared away. RH
  5. RPM8300, those are nice 20 yard groups! What is the velocity of both the 147's and 165's? RH
  6. Any chance the crimp die is over doing what's needed? I know this sounds bass-ackwards but I have seen over crimping cause the brass to deform just enough to prevent proper chambering. This may have not been appearant when using soft lead as your bullet. RH
  7. B_RAD, will they drop into the chamber of your barrel? RH
  8. Kimberkid, Is the striker channel in Gun A clean and dry all the way up to the breech face? Fouling and residue, as well as lube may be preventing the firing pin to travel as intended. For Gun B, perhaps the engagement of the firing pin tang and trigger bar/cruciform is not sufficient for safe reset, causing doubling/tripling etc. Could the pretravel/overtravel adjustments need tuning? RH
  9. A work of art! How does it shoot? RH
  10. LawDog, do they go into and then drop out of the chamber of the barrel from the pistol you will be firing them from? If so' you should be good to go. I haven't used Blue Bullets but if they are coated lead they probably are larger than .355, which is what your MG's are sized, and will not completely seat in your drop gauge. RH
  11. Michael, I've have not run across a case gauge made specifically to accommodate the issue of lead/coated bullets that measure larger than their jacketed counter parts. However, one could remove their barrel from their pistol and perform the kerplunk-drop check test in the chamber they will actually be using their ammo in. Cheers, RH
  12. Brian, finish the 2nd season and then share your thoughts. Interesting to see some of the back story on the BB characters and hypothesize what will happen next. Just got to let it continue to unfold. Cheers, RH
  13. DenverDave, is it possible that your high primers are a result of debris on the press (ie. spent primers) not allowing the platform to bottom out enough for the primers to be seated? The good thing about it is it's an easy fix but can be frustrating if it's not caught right away. RH
  14. RenoShooter, Your current zero is 8.3 yards, perhaps if you often are shooting at targets at 50 yards you may want to change your zero to 35 yards. RH
  15. AF, if you still have the factory extended slide release on the pistol, any chance you're activating the slide release with your support hand as you're shooting? Has the pistol been taken apart recently and perhaps the slide release not properly reinstalled? RH
