jbultman
Stupid question.... If I mill a G34 slide for a RMR to play in carry optics. Is it still legal in production with out the optic? Thanks Edited June 26, 2017 by jbultman

Sarge
Might be legal under this? Unless it's talking about mulling without removing the rear sight? http://multibriefs.com/briefs/uspsa/USPSA020416.php seems confusing enough that I personally would email Troy for clarification Edited June 26, 2017 by Sarge

"You can mill the slide of a production legal gun to install an optic, and replace the optic with a filler plate for competition in Production without risk." emm66
It wouldn't be any different than someone running a Glock MOS with the plate still on. Any update to this?

The MOS models are specifically listed on the production gun list.

Bsbllrooster
Has anyone gotten confirmation on this. Considering sending a slide off to be milled but it is my production top end. Don’t want to have to buy a second top end if I don’t have to.
Paul49
Do all the slide milling outfits provide a slide cut cover plate? The ruling appears to require the cover plate to compete in production.

blindmarksman
honestly sounds like a pita having to explain it every time to RO's that think they know more than you

SCTaylor
For sale post coming in 10 posts! @blindmarksman what are you explaining? Is this locally or at a Level 2/3? Locally most of us know the basic rules (non-RO certified) but since HQ keeps making rules adjustments, it's difficult to keep up.

Chances are, all things considered, a certified RO that paid attention and tries to keep up with the changes probably does know more than you. But, RO's are rarely perfect, and on rare occasions they are even dipshits. Ask them to check the rules if you doubt what they are saying. Point them to the rule if needed.
