DMAC Posted April 18, 2009 Share Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) I'm all in. I'll be there Thursday around 5:00 pm and I'm staying at the lodge listed on the BRM3G website. This will be my first 3 Gun competition other than a small local one about an hour away that I've done a few times. I really hope I don't DQ the first day. Looks like I'm on squad 15 with about 140 shooters total. So far the weather forecast calls for partly sunny and high 70's every day. I guess I can leave my umbrella at home and bring my sunblock! This place isn't your typical range. 2,000 acres, and the stages cover probably 600-800 of it. If he had a trooper class, they probably wouldn't all make it back! Stages look great, very challenging both from a shooter's perspective and physically demanding. Based on what I saw Saturday and the RAIN we've had yesterday, today, and forecast for tomorrow, I would recommend the following for all competitors: shoes w/ good soles Deep Woods OFF (for ticks) long pants (for briars) The weather looks great for this weekend though-- 80 and sunny.
