TimWarner
I'm looking at expanding the 9mm major spreadsheet I made, to include other major/minor loads. If anyone would like to donate information, please email it to warner@9x23.net I need: type of gun, barrel length/ports, Bullet mfg./weight/type Powder Primer OAL and either a Low/High/Avg velocity or 5+ recorded velocities. Thank you
TimWarner
For further clarification, I'm looking to expand this to other common calibers used for USPSA or other shooting practices. Kind of a reference place for what other shooters are using.
Harmon
9mm glock 34 production gun factory barrel: 147 grain berrys bullet over 3.4 Titegroup at 1.150 oal for 950 fps average 9mm glock 34 production gun Storm lake barrel 124 grain lead round nose 1.150 oal 4.1 grians universal clays for 1022 fps( clean lead load ) not as soft as 147 grain load, but pretty soft 125 grain lead round nose 1.150 oal 3.6 grains WST for 1036 fps. less smoke than the U clays load but flattens the primer a bit. way more accurate than 3.2 grains CLAYS and the feel about the same. JThompson
For those that can't read it I saved it as an interactive web page which should allow anyone to view it. Tim thanks for adding to the list. I made it easy for those without excel to view. Jim Norman
have just ordered a replacement barrel in 9mm for my STI. In talking over potential for 9mm major with the manufacturer of the barrel, he indicated that one needs to exercise GREAT CARE in the selection of brass for 9mm Major as the case volumes can and do vary significantly. One comment he made, repeated from a major ammo manufacturer to him was that an additional setback of 0.001" can cause an extreme difference in case pressure. After looking at the data in the presented spread sheet (Thank you for posting) I failed to notice if anyone noted signs of pressure on their loads. I was looking at some that were showing a 175 plus PF.
Alan Meek
Both of my 9 Major guns use standard ramp barrels. All of my load data is with WSP primers. I have not seen any pressure problems. A couple of years ago I also perfomed a test using 100 loads, 10 each of once fired sorted by manufacturer. I weighed all the cases, powder and bulet. I kept the powder charge the same. All I learned from the test was if you used mixed brass your velocity will be erratic. Alan

duct tape
For further clarification, I'm looking to expand this to other common calibers used for USPSA or other shooting practices.Kind of a reference place for what other shooters are using. Following up on this. The 9mm spreadsheet is very nice. Did you ever add other tabs for other calibers, specifically .38 SC, as you indicate above. Thanks.
