JDBraddy
I've been using 3N-38 in my .38 Supercomp loads, and I love how it performs, that it fills the case just enough, and works the comp well without showing any pressure sign, or being dirty or unreasonably loud, but it's not been available locally for a while, and it's $$$$. I was wondering what other readilly available and preferably less expensive powders, whould make the best substitute in a pinch?
warpspeed
VV N350. If you liked 3N38 you will love N350. Or at least I do
Flatland Shooter
I'll second the vote for N-350. I shoot it in major 9 and I am done experimenting. It don't get no better. Bill
coldchar
Not having a comp I am shooting 3N37. Same question, is N 350 still a good substitute?

davecutts
I'm going to try some 7625 with 124/5's here in a bit, was told it'll be softer.

It would, but for those for those at 9mm you can't get enough in the case to make major... just an FYI

superdude
in addition to using 3N38, i've had good luck with Ramshot Silhouette. it is the old Winchester Action Pistol. it costs much less than the Vit powders, and you'll use less of it than 3N38, hence a considerable savings in cash. jostein jensen
If you can get VV powders, you got to try N105!

dansy
4756 is very closed to the 3n38 at a fraction of the cost.....but it's a little more dirty, I need to clean my gun every 2k or so
