downzero
Hello everyone, I've gotten my Dillon 550 running and now I'm looking for a chronograph. I did a quick search and didn't find anything on this site. I did a google.com search and found the Chrony, that looks interesting. I'm not spending $bucks$ until I hear from your experience. Thanks in advance. DR
PhilTerry
I would recommend the Competition Electronics series - I have used a Pro Chrono Jnr for years - I think they market a slightly different model the Pro Chrono Pal. Take a look at their web site www.competitionelectronics.com
BDH
Like everything else here you are going to get several opinions...... mine is, buy an Oehler. They cost a little more, but are the industry standard for a reason, and worth every penny. My 2 cents worth....
kimel
I have a Chrony and it works okay. If I was buying again I would probably go Oehler though.
megaman
i've opted for the CED chrono. it's simple to learn to use, it can store you strings if your short on paper and a pen, competitively priced, comes with a tripod and tripod carrying case, light to carry, and the sky screens are tough enough to take a hit or three . bhg
PACT from our host. I just got the MK IV and like it. Shot timer and chrono in one.
George
Here is a slew of opinions from another thread on chrono's. http://64.62.172.100/~brianeno/index.php?a...f=40&t=5310&hl= Here is some info on the Pact MkIV Timer/Chrono system (I really like mine). http://www.brianenos.com/pages/pact.html Here is some info on the CED Millenium chrono. It is the only competing product I might have chosen instead of the Pact (I still prefer the Pact because it's a timer too!). http://www.shootingsoftware.com/chronographs.htm Hope this helps,
Ron Ankeny
I used a Chrony for several years until I blew it up with a shotgun wad...ooops. Instead of waiting to have it rebuilt I bought a ProChrono digital on sale from Cabela's. I must admit I was suspect about such a cheap chrono actually working and being accurate, but believe it or not it works really well. I have no regrets and I see no reason to up grade. I have also used CED, Ohler, and Pact. I really like the Pact.
Flexmoney
The Pact Mk-IV competition shot timer with (built-in) chrono works for me. I shot over mine with it set up directly behind on range owners new CED...the two chronos were 8fps apart on nearly every shot. Very consistant. benos
If you're shooting habit requires you to own a chrono and a timer, for $200 the MKIV is the only way to go. And you can get it from the link George so graciously provided below. be
EricW
My MKIV has been nothing but reliable. It's a super tool - don't know how I ever lived without it.
