Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. The interlaced fingers served no real purpose. I thought it was a goofy way to unnecessarily complicate a stage. There was a lot of conversation about the stage, and I agree we're in some fine company. David Ramsey Just have to add that I put two rounds into the middle no shoot, they were, however, touching.
  2. I e mailed K2 Sports about the Legend and here is the reply I got: Only 24 were made for us and we sold all of them. You may want to try STI and see if they have any. Just FYI.
  3. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2140&hl= Try that link and see what happens? I saw one of these guns about 18 months ago and kinda wish I has bought it. I've seen them on guns america.
  4. FULLY LOADED CUSTOM 2011 IN 9MM MADE FOR K2 SPORTS IN DALLAS TX.ABSOLUTE TACK DRIVER!BLUED WITH HARDCASE The ULTIMATE IDPA ESP GUN This sounds like the exact the gun you are talking about. It is the K2 Legend I believe. Absolutely beautiful gun.
  5. I am finding that economy of motion, reducing the unnecessary movements, when shooting a stage is where real speed comes from. I've really been practicing on getting rid of that half studder step, that bobble, and all those little movements that eat up time. Smooth is fast. When I watch the "big boys" I marvel at how deliberate everything looks. Sometimes it even looks slow, but the times are fast. I'd like to hear how you set up to practice "smooth." BTW, Peace and goodwill.
  6. I'm interested in the Nowlin. I know the Les Baer in nice. The TRP has all the features I want, but for a little more I think I'll get a lot more gun. Anyone have experience with the Nowlin?
  7. My STI Eagle runs fine with 10 round magazines, but when I use a High Cap Mag the magazine falls out after the first or second shot. The recoil causes the magazine to release. I'm not riding the mag release. Does it need a new spring? How do I correct this problem?
  8. I always seem to find my contact in the lower right side of my right eye when I get home from the range. BTW, powder residue stings when you get it in your eye. Have fun, shoot safely.
  9. thanks. What's the retail cost of the 686? If you don't mind me asking.
  10. Thanks for the replies. I like the 686. Chris Tilley's Dad, Mike Tilley and I are friends and he's trying to talk me into the .45 for all the reasons listed. Who said it? Choose the cooler one. Sure do like the .38 super. BTW, How cool are revolvers anyway? I've got the fever. It's suprised myself!
  11. I'm 42 and have the same problem. I seem to be able to see the sights better with my glasses. It also seems that my contact ( I only need it for my right eye) slides out of position during shooting. It's a pain in the butt. I have taken to seeing the target clearly and the sights out of my peripheral vision. I actually shoot faster this way, but with less confidence in calling my shots. My knees are still good, though. Good topic.
  12. I'm thinking of shooting revolver. The 686 is a .38 super, the 625 is a .45. Is the .45 that much faster to reload? I'm already set up to load .38 super. I'd only be shooting IDPA so I'm thinking 686. I'd like to have your thoughts.
  13. I do load a lot more .40. And I've replaced 3 or 4 pins. It's maddening when you're in a groove, rounds are coming off at a nice cadence when all of a sudden there's a goof. BTW, I've noticed a much improved primer bar action when I clean it with FP10. I know the manuel says no lube. FP10 helps me load more rounds between a stoppage.
  14. Since I'm only loading .40 it makes sense that that would cause the problem. You guys have helped a lot. I believe the punch is indeed de priming the primer and drawing it back in. Thanks. I'll clean and replace every thing.
  15. I'm loading .40 on a Dillon 550B. Sometimes a case simply won't allow itself to be deprimed. It's as if the case is too long and the punch can't reach the primer. I've noticed this on this batch of once fired brass. What gives? Is it something I'm doing?
