It gave us something to do in between football seasons. Before you start flaming me, I have an excuse. I am from Alabama where we live for college football. Everything else is just background noise. SA Friday Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 Phillies Next! 17-1 in the last 18 games. I don't know anybody that wants to play a team that hot. My wife is a serious sports nut, and a huge rockies fan. She watched almost every game this year and we went to a couple home games too. She's been telling me all year that they are better than they are getting credit for and to get ready for them to start making a serious move to the team to beat in NL. Wow, did that happen fast. Mike Holiday, can anyone say MVP? Hawp spent most of the year over .500 batting with runners in scoring position. Matsui has been and still is just scary to have to pitch to. And the Rockies now have two things they have never had, dependable backup players in Carroll, Speilsborg, and Davis; and good pitching. It's been a great October.
