Minor or Major? Pros & Cons - Limited Minor

I load 4.7gr of WST in my 40 to make major and I load 4.7 gr of WST in my 9 mm to make minor. The recoil of 4.7gr in Minor with the 9 mm slows me down more than the soft shooting 40.

Try a different powder/bullet combo. I'm using 5 gr of Titegroup with a 180 gr zero to make ~170. I'm using 4 gr of Titegroup with a 125 gr zero to make 132. Going with a heavier 9 bullet and reducing the powder charge will make it even softer.

Saving money, well you could possibly save $3.00 per match with a 9 mm over a 40, I choose just to skip the pie on the meal after the match. I know a guy that could save more than that by quitting the Lottaaee's on the way to the match.

I save about $30/K shooting 9. Since I shoot about ~8K rounds/year, it doesn't add up to much ($50/month?). However, it could add up to a lot for those shooting several K a month (lucky bastids).

Shoot what you got, and have fun.

When I decided to shoot limited, I took my open gun apart and had

a limited slide put on the open fram. I shoot 38 sup minor, ( could shoot 9mm)

with my same old mags and holster. Saved a lot of $ and am having a lot

of fun doing it. ;)
