OK, guys, everybody had a great time at this match last year, and we're going to pretty much set things up the same way again for the '07 version. Great opportunity to break out those "old school" guns and have at it! We will try to make the stages interesting and challenging for both platforms.

Entry form is attached. More info on the facility is available at www.shootiowa.com

It is a cool match.

We are flying southwest direct from Tampa to Kansas City for less that $200 round trip.

After all you revo talk, you are almost obligated to try it.

I've been to the last several IDPA nationals down in Arkansas. One hot place, but they put on a real good match. It'll be interesting to see how it goes over on the east end of the country. I'm sure they'll do a fine job.

I wish we could get the guys in FL to get together and put on some matches like this. I am going to check the airline schedules to Iowa tonite.

Chris, Dave Moss and I are going. We fly into Kansas City on Friday Sept 28 @ 10am. The return on Monday Oct 1 @ 2pm.

We are taking Southwest out of Tampa and they are direct flights.

Try to make it.

Cliff

Entries are arriving! We have shooters from a bunch of different states signing up this year. Most are shooting both days. If you're thinking about signing up, please try not to wait until the last second. We'll try to get everybody squeezed in, even walk-ons if necessary, but it's a whole lot easier to plan things out if we know how many shooters we're going to have.

Looks like we have a super-fun match shaping up!

Match update:

Each match will require minimum of 178 shots. (Bring extra ammo just in case!) For those needing to ship ammo in from out of state, you can ship in advance to your motel (unless you're staying at the casino, you might want to keep a low profile with the guns/ammo, I don't think that stuff is allowed inside there technically), or I can receive ammo and transport it to the range for you.

Each match will have 8 stages, which will be fun and challenging with both 1911s and revolvers. I'm very pleased with the way the stage designs came out, we will have a few interesting twists this year.....

New this year--in addition to the usual recognition for winners for each match, we have an extra bonus available for those shooting both matches! We will add together the match points for both matches and award nice trophies for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. This is a pretty cool deal for those true "old school" shooters who are handy with the 1911 and revolver!

Guys, don't wait until the last second to send in your entry, we still have room in both matches, but it would be nice to get everybody in the computer for plaque ordering and squad organization purposes.

At $50 for both 178-round matches, this is probably the best big match shooting value anywhere in the country.....
