JSCHIEFEN
WHAT BRAND OF SMALL PRIMERS HAVE YOU FOUND WORK BEST IN A 1050. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BOTH CCI PISTOL AND RIFLE PRIMERS FEEDING WELL! WHAT BRAND DO YOU USE AND WHY?
L9X25
Winchester They are always available, cheap and consistent. No problems in 16 years of loading with them. Federals are my second choice and are as good.
R Lewis
I have a 550B, XL650 and Super 1050. It has been my experience that Winchester primers work the best in Dillon machines. I do load precision rifle on the 550B and use Federal Match. The primer system is much simpler. When I first got my 650 I was using Federal primers. It was a nightmare. I contacted Dillon and they recommended I use Winchester primers. I haven't had a problem since.

JSCHIEFEN
I'VE TRIED WINCHESTER SM. RIFLE AND THEY WORK WELL IN THE 1050'S I HAVE. REM 71/2 BENCH REST SHOOT THE BEST IN MY 38 SUPERS FOLLOWED BY CCI MAGS, BUT NEITHER RUN CONSISTANTLY IN EITHER OF THE 1050'S (38 SUPER & 40). WIN PRIMERS RUN WELL IN BOTH LOADERS, BUT DOESN'T BURN IMR4756 OR VV3N37 AS WELL AS THE CCI SM RIFLE OR THE REM. BR's. ALSO, A LOT MORE VARIATION IN CHONO. VEL. I AGREE WIN. ARE MUCH MORE AVAILABLE. THE REMINGTONS SEEM TO SHOW PRESSURE SIGNS JUST A LITTLE LESS AS COMPARED TO THE OTHERS AND THEY ARE MUCH MORE CONSISTANT OVER THE CHONO IN 38 SUPER. Jim Norman
Only detonations I have head have been with Federals. I have to run them in my Revo, but I use Win SR everywhere else. they work just fine in my XD, Glock 22 and 17 and my Sig. Also in Paras and STI open and Limited. Federal is supposedly softer, maybe that is why they sometimes go boom. I have crushed a Win SRP and not had a problem. Jim PS, clean your primer magazine tube, if it gets a little crudy, it can hang up your primers.
