GentlemanJim
After loading and testing ammo today Wife wanted to shoot over the chrono...ok WELL I just went to bring it back indoors ITS TOAST....SHE shot both pickups and the sky screen. Explains why she had a little trouble on the last batch I just dont get it??? she can hit a 12ga shotshell at 50 yds in practice Im telling you this stuff was brand new!!!!!! I bought it only 20 years ago!!! If you could only see the way she is sticking her lower lip out I guess i am in the market for two new PACT pickups Jim

LadyinBlue
Ok, so I shot the darn chronograph...but my gun was shooting low until Jim adjusted the dot. Now its hitting correctly instead of 3 inches too low. Hate to say I told you so. Now I can put 20 hits into the upper A zone at 25 yards. Too bad we didn't adjust first and chrono second. Sorry dear. ~Nanci~ I'm thinking he's gonna have tofu for dinner.

I would think that SHE would suggest she is in need of a new gun. If her gun is so worn out and shoots so poorly as to hit the danged chrono.......... LadyinBlue
Y'all are making me feel guilty. I will suffer the pain of shooting the chrono... I will not ask for a new gun... I will not serve the husband tofu... How 'bout we go out for dinner? Steak?

I will not serve the husband tofu... How 'bout we go out for dinner? Steak? Don't feel bad, I have done worst!! A couple of years ago I took my brand new, fresh from the box Competition Electronics chrono to the range to test some loads. I get about 5 across it using my range bag as a rest (very key to the story) decide to try the other load, unzip the bag get the ammo box out and zip it back up. Load up and lean back across the the bag and just as I am touching off a round the empty space now in the bag collapes some and I put a 200gr 45 bullet right through the LCD readout. The chrono jumps a little and does the best "ooof, I am hit move, spins and is down". The guy down the line looks over and says "I think you got him!!!" Im glad that someone who shoots as well as Jake has dicked up and done this as well. Few years ago I got in a hurry, it was cold and I was ONLY at the range to chrono a few strings. I didnt even set up a target and was just shooting at a spot in the berm. Got in a hurry and the last string I shot the guts out of my ChronyMaster. I called and sent back the sensor section since its a two piece unit and I asked them if I was the only poor sap who had done this and it took them a minute to stop laughing. I have a feeling this happens a LOT more than egos will admit to. Edited March 15, 2007 by tnek
