Is this part factory or aftermarket?

Is it the trigger spring? It's got a #4 on it.

The GLOCK "New York" trigger has its name from the New York Police Department.

It facilitates officers changing from revolvers to pistols. This part increases trigger pull weight from

factory standard 5.5 lb. to 8 lb.

 

I don't think anyone would want to imitate such a thing.

Some people use this in combination with the “minus” connector. Which takes away the “mushiness” and makes for a nice clean break.

I tried that, way too heavy. I went with the "minus" connector, 4.5lb striker spring, clipped a coil off the plunger spring, polished the top of the plunger, 13lb recoil spring.

 

Right at 4lb-4.5lb trigger pull.

I thought the Nypd triggers were orange. I removed a few of them for my buddy’s after they retired, and they were orange.

That's the NY2 setup, that makes it into a 12lb pull if I remember correctly
