SufferInSilence
Specifically, I’m trying to make an Odin Armory Sentential thumb rest slide stop not engage/lock the slide in any way. It’s really easy to make it activate and lock the slide back during recoil. Anyone have a link or pics/vids on how to make the slide slide release not work? Braxton1
1. You can cut a 45-degree chamfer at the engagement point; and/or 2. Cut a DEEP detent where the plunger engages it.
ARac40
I’ve had good luck with option 2 as stated above.

shred
Grind off the inside lug where the follower hits it to lock open. File down the lug that interacts with the slide notch. Works on most pistols, since you didn't say which. The previous posters suggestions work pretty well on 1911/2011s but not so much on others.
