Flea
Mine is getting a bit worn down. Used 60/90 SC. How does one get the grip back up to snuff? Sand it all the way down to the plastic? If yes, what are you using to sand it back down? Any other tricks or hacks? Thx
jwhittin
Maybe file it to knock off the loose SC and reshape if needed. Then apply thin coat of JB weld and reapply SC. I use JB weld and SC on my grips and it’s a great combination.
shred
Superglue actually works pretty well to spackle in areas too.
Rich406
I soak the grip in acetone overnight. Scrape off the worn out silicon carbide and reapply.

Doesn't muck up the plastic? What do you use to scrape off?

Twilk73
You just put the polymer grip of a gun in acetone? And that’s ok? I’m asking seriously because I have one I need to fix. I used epoxy not jb weld. Edited July 14, 2022 by Twilk73

Finished job with upright sander.
