BobRockefeller
It sure looks like the end of the road for the PPQ. But what of the Q4 and Q5 steel frame models? Are we to expect steel frame PDPs, or are the steel frames not popular enough to continue? Please speculate. I'm new to Walther and unfamiliar with their history. Lightj75
From what I have read the steel frame Q4 and Q5 aren't going anywhere. I will be in touch with a Walther distributor next week and if I can remember I'll let you know what I can find out.

ohsevenflhx
The Q5 Steel Frame seem popular to competition shooters somewhat like the Sig 320 X5 Legion. Not a popular or cheap gun for a weekend shooter but great for competition.
stock
I'd imagine that they are still a good seller for Walthers for the competitive shooters
UpYoursPal
I just picked up a Q4 SF and am really digging it. If Walther ends up making a steel frame PDP I might just get one of those as well!
Qbert
I really like my Q4SF also. Extremely nice shooting pistola, especially with a red dot and the Competition trigger spring by Sprinco (sold by Stoeger Pro Shop.
rennD
I'm hoping they SFs dont go away as well. I don't know how long I will compete in CO though.
MichaelZeleny
Walther brought no steel frame pistols to the Boulder City range on Monday. The only steel frame pistols at their SHOT Show stand were the Q5 variants hailing from the Meister Manufaktur. A Walther employee told me that the Q4 SF has been discontinued. Reading between the lines, I suspect that the remainder of their steel frame pistols will not be replenished. Time to stock up on spare strikers and springs for your existing sidearms. Retlawman
My Q4SF is my second best shooting pistol. Only behind my 9mm steel WIlson Combat 5" CQB. I beleive the difference is the site radius and the 1911 trigger. I love them both, but do my law enforcement qualifications with the Walther! Earl Sheehan had them in stock as of two weeks ago. It makes a big difference in the crispness of the two stage pull.
