  1. Staff reset is the way to go and I have no problem paying extra for it. I'm one of the people who overzealously pastes and ends up pasting alot of the targets because it's faster than waiting on someone else. Not having to worry about it gives me extra time to focus and shoot at major matches and I really appreciate it. Also there is far less reshoots on activator stages because someone set it up wrong.
  2. I got a sample of gun butter at Area 6 this year and I've really liked it, so much I'm about to buy more. It holds up well even on high round count practice sessions. I use Mobil 5w20 on my xl750 the grease joints get Lucas red
  3. I shot 22-01 Righty Tighty and 22-04 Calm Before the Storm last week. 80% and 75% In my opinion the HHF for 22-01 is pretty fair, but 22-04 is a little high. It is what it is I guess. https://youtu.be/99gQTx3RhXQ
  4. I had this same experience when going from my CZ Sp01 to the Walther q5 SF. The 130pf loads I loaded for my CZ were chronoing on average about 3-4pf higher when shot through the Q5SF.
  5. Blue bullets 135gr TC 3.3gr N320 1.125 OAL Fed spp 126.5PF Walther q5 match SF
  6. Congratulations that's a great looking gun!
  7. ^this I recently started doing this at local matches / practice and it's hard at first. I'm trying to go absolutely as fast as I can without getting any Mike's and its a valuable training tool. You have to train yourself to see faster then you can add the accuracy later and sounds like you have accuracy already with your background. So try to fight the urge to be comfortable, go out of your comfort zone and embrace the speed for a little while. I was told recently if you're comfortable in practice that you aren't doing it right. so good luck and after you get over worrying about the hits it's alot if fun going fast.
  8. I use slide guide on some internal parts and Lucas and it's worked really well. Although I recently got a sample of gun butter from an area match and have been using it in place of the Lucas the last 1500 rds or so and I have been pretty impressed with it so far. I'm sure it's all in my head but I swear the gun feels smoother with it than with the Lucas but who knows. The needle dropper on the bottle is also really handy FWIW.
  9. Heres another endorsement for the EGW mounts. I used one on my SP01 my whole first season of uspsa and fired around 6-7k rounds with no problems they are solid
  10. The problem with the 750 priming system is that the primer seating punch has a channel that the set screw on the slide bar goes into. The punch being a mass produced part is obviously not gonna be perfect and when we are talking about depths from .000-.010 there is bound to be issues. My fix: 1. loosen the set screw on the side of the primer slide bar 2. Make sure the set screw is at the bottom of the channel in the primer ram so that the ram is as high as possible. 3. Tighten the crap out of the set screw and hope the ram doesn't slide back down. 4. Check to make sure the ram isn't way too high and make sure it is centered in the shell plate I've thought about making a shim to go underneath the ram but I haven't had any issues since adjusting mine. I still sometimes have issues with harder primers like srp or tula but with regular cci 500 or federal spp there is usually no issues. Sorry for the grammatical errors I'm running late this morning.
  11. This is all assuming you have the extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin spring as I did with these results. 8.5# federal only 9# federal only 10# fed, win, tula, cci, rem 11.5# all of the above and cci #550 SPMP I never tried cci SRP with the 11.5# but I know they will not work with the 10# atleast not in my SP-01. Also I think the 10# will set off the cci #550 but I can't remember for sure so I left them out.
  12. The chrono at A6 was right on my at home testing. I use N330 though and haven't ever noticed any differences in Temps from 30-80°. I'm betting the sensitivity of TG is the culprit. If you got some N320 I would go with that, coated 147gr FPs with 3.0-3.2gr @ 1.13 is usually what I load N320.
  13. Everglades makes 124gr 9 major ammo and I'm sure there are more options if you want to go that route.
  14. Thank you Brian, losing this forum would be devastating.the history and knowledge here is unparalleled.
  15. If you want to use the nevermiss hanger choose the blade tech mounting pattern option. I like my nevermiss but have never used a boss hanger and likely never will
  16. I shouldn't have said hate it was frustrating I guess mainly because of things I did like letting the trigger spring fly off into oblivion or being cheap and not buying the starter punch and using what I had on hand. It is alot of fun to do though kinda like Legos if you follow one of the many guides I believe I used the one on this forum by Professor Atlas along with videos from CGW and YouTube. If you run into any problems you're welcome to message me I can try to help or you can call CGW directly and talk to a gunsmith that will walk you through any part you're having trouble with.
  17. Same here focus and consistency are going to be one of my main goals this year. Different clubs also let's you see different stage designs because even if people don't mean to sometimes their stages have the same theme or similar setups week after week so you get comfortable shooting those designs. I found out the hard way after my first 2 or 3 matches I switched to a different club and they had 6" steel at 25-30yds which I hadn't shot much of at my regular match, but man did I learn a lesson that day.
  18. You will really enjoy the pro package and if you're anything like me also love/hate the install. Also don't forget to polish the internals while you're in there.
  19. I have a 750 mainly for loading 9mm and it works great for me and I got a deal on it used. If I was buying new and loaded any amount of .223 I think I would get the 1100 it gives you alot more options.
  20. I've found one of the things that has helped me progress this past year was shooting at different clubs. Yeah it's fun shooting with your buddies every month but it makes me complacent. I think going to random clubs adds a little intensity for me and I get to see new things that I'm not used to.
  21. I ordered mine with the bladetech mounting holes which I knew from a previous nevermiss hanger I bought would fit. Also no it does not come with the thighpad the thighpad used to be included but is now a separate item I'm not sure if GX carries them separately. I love the nevermiss hanger so much I bought 2 I hope you like it also.
  22. If you're ever near Roanoke/ Blacksburg, VA I've got some CCI SRP I'd gladly trade you for some federals
  23. I have been told the same about the sig optics but don't have any experience first hand. I do know alot of people that use the RTS2 slide mounted and they seem to hold up well especially the latest version.
  24. You should be fine to remove coils I had to do the same for my Walther q5 magazines after asking h.kim for spring recommendations but he also advised me that removing coils would significantly reduce the life of the springs.
  25. Is there a reason you aren't considering the SRO ? In my experience the SRO is great and I have one on my SP01 and have had zero issues.
