jed
Looking for load suggestions for 45 ACP using WST for powder, 200 grain swc prelubed # 68's with Winchester large primers in 5" Wilson CQB. This load will be used for plinking and bullseye practice. Looking for 'soft' side of recoil and if it drops to earth after 55 yds thats ok. What suggestions for this combo from your collective wisdom and thanks in advance!
nvmichael
If your looking for soft you might want to try Clays. HSMITH recommended Clays to me and I love it. Seems to burn real clean too.
herky
I have had good luck with 4.4 gr of WST with 200 LSWC out of my Les Baer. Thousands of rounds, clean and good accuracy.
8ring
Greetings: I shoot 200gr. Round Nose Flat Point lead (Bonus Bullets) in my revolver with WST. 5.3gr WST shot double action has about 880 to 900 fps. I've settled on 5.1gr WST for my practice loads that should yield about 840-850 fps in my S&W 625. WST is friendly to lead. I also use 5.1gr with Precision 200gr. RNFP for my match loads. You probably need smaller charges in your 1911. Chris
LPatterson
I'm using 4.7 WST/200 gr Laser Cast @ 830-850 out of a Schuemann barrel. If you want rainbow loads try Clays or TG or Bullseye.
