tomjerry1
I have a 4.5 9mm XDM, PRP 3lb trigger, 14lb recoil spring, getting lite primer strikes. Does anyone make a longer firing pin, or any suggestions to get a better strike?
WmKerle
Make sure your firing pin channel is clean of all oils and lubes. The channel and Striker is made to run dry.
Out of Ammo
WmKerle, good advice to clean this is regularly.
124gr9mm
Factory ammo or reloads? If it's reloads then check to make sure your primers aren't sitting too high. My press developed a little wear under the priming section and started to seat primers a little high, so I was getting light strikes, FTF, etc... tomjerry1
Have checked the primers, but forgot all about the firing pin channel, will do that today. Thanks
mont1120
I think your firing pin spring is light if you put in the lower weight recoil spring. Same thing happened to me and I had to take out the firing pin spring sent with the replacement spring, and put the original back in.
tomjerry1
Another good idea, going to clean it up and if I can find the original, I'll put it back in.
