ZackJones
I have an RTS2 that was acting up on me this past weekend. I've sent an email to C-More but haven't heard back yet. I had a couple of different issues (1) sometimes the dot would not illuminate.I suppose that could be operator error but I confirmed the dot was on prior to holstering (2) sometimes the dot would be washed out and flash rapidly. The docs for the red dot don't say anything about that happening. This is a brand new RTS2 mounted on a steel challenge open gun. Has anyone experienced either of these problems before? Even though it's new I'm going to replace the battery and see if that helps.
pskys2
Usually a flashing dot is a low battery issue. If it is fading and or flashing with a new battery, would be a connection issue.
Sarge
When mine was flashing I changed batteries and it cured it.
zzt
Two of my three RTS2s came with almost dead batteries.
theWacoKid
Rapid flashing or strobing is the indicator of low voltage and that battery is done. Flickering, turning off, or turning on without a button press are signs that it is broke.
Posvar
The batteries that come with any optic go right in the trash. Simple fix. Install a new one and you should be golden.
