Which trigger is best?

It's more important that it be installed correctly than what brand it is. A stock trigger, properly fitted is infinitely better than the most expensive trigger just slapped into the grip.

STI gunsmith blank if you know what length you want/like

SVI properly fitted as stated above, so you can change lengths easily until you figure out length and shape you want.

No need to get caught up in the "latest and supposed greatest"

Vario and Sv both make very nice triggers. I will say that the Vario bow is very solid and well made and the length adjustment is a nice addition. I use the medium on a few of my guns and really like them.

I'm still very partial to the STI polymer long curve trigger. Most of my STI gunsmith blanks end up strongly resembling the length, curve, and texture. 

 

I prefer some texture on my trigger face, so the SV smooth trigger shoe isn't my favorite thing in the world.

I used to put a small rectangle of skate tape on the SVI trigger shoe.  Now, a little work with a checkering file and it has nice texture

Which grip are you using?  Sometimes you'll run into fit issues with certain grip and trigger combinations.  May want to take that into consideration before you settle on anything OR be prepared to do a little extra fitting.

Hello: The STI triggers are a very good option and take very little to make them work. Long curved, short curved and the gunsmith give lots of options. SVI trigger sometimes take a lot of work to make them fit correctly. They tend to be too long in the bow area so some reshaping needs to be done. I have not tried the X-Line. Thanks, Eric

I just stole my friends 30lpi file and I've got a 20lpi and I'm not going to lie ... I had a real itch to try an SV trigger again...

 

I guess the upside is I'll only ruin the insert, not the entire trigger.
