Ar pcc And vortex venom

I have a venom on the way to mate on top of my g9 pcc.  Do yall use a riser or just place right on rail with provided mount.  I am not worried about co witness etc. thx

A lot depends on the stock and your facial construction.  Best to try and get the dot in alignment as you shoulder the weapon.  Be best to try both.

Hello: I shoot with a young guy who uses one with a riser on it. I have shot his PCC and it does need a riser for me as well. The standard C-More and the Holosun 510C both do not for me. Thanks, Eric

I have a Venom on a 45-offset mount.  It works fine in that position as-is, but I would need a riser if I wanted to run it as my primary.

I used a riser for my Venom and my DPP on my PCC.  now I use a Holsun 510C.  no riser needed for that

 

you can get a cheap riser on amazon.  .5 inch and .75 inch about $11 each

I put a venom on my daughters PCC.  she didn't like the height, so i ended up putting a c-more on instead.  I ended up putting the venom on my M&P pro.

I went through the same search a while back.  Ended up with the Vortex-branded Samson riser.  CMT supposedly makes a non-QD mount but I’ve never seen it in stock.  The only other cheap/easy option is a picatinny riser.

You will want about a 1/2" riser with a Venom to get to what is considered a co-witness height.  If your height with irons is good for you, the 1/2" riser will be good too.

Only thing I rail mount is the optic.  The rail section at the front of the handguard, I just use as a grip index point.

So... that's the Spike's Colt magwell.  It's not a perfect match for my BCP Colt lower.  It's better than nothing, but I'm still on the hunt for anyone making a magwell for the BCP Colt.

Just preference.  Mounted rearward, the window seems larger, but so does the frame around it.  I prefer mounted forward, because at least for me, the frame just disappears.  Probably depends on your length of pull and where you get a good cheek weld too.
