Coated Lead Bullets Similar to Older Bayou 124 TCG

The new Bayou 124 TCG bullets are almost identical to the Acme bullets.  These are fine in our 9mm 1911s, but have to be loaded very short (1.05") in my HK P2000 carry gun.  The original Bayou molds had a softer transition from base to ogive and could be loaded quite a bit longer.  There must be another manufacturer who uses a mold similar to the Bayou original mold.  Any ideas?

M&Ps have short chambers. This one was only .005-.010" longer than a Tanfoglio/CZ which has  the shortest barrel out there.

Black Bullets International's 125 TC will plunk and spin in it at 1.150" I had to load Acme 124 RNs at 1.100" to pass plunk in the same barrel.

I highly recommend the BBI 125 for guys with short chambers who like long OALs. You should be able to hit at least 1.125-1.135" in absolutely everything.

Bayou has "new" 124gr TCG?  They're not on the website that I can find.  Just the 120 TCG.

No, the 124 is the old recipe which actually runs reasonably well in my HK.  I'd have to load the new TCG to 1.05" which is ridiculous.  The target attached are for both the old 124TCG and the 124RN.  I make no claim that the 1.14" OAL for the RN load is optimum, but look at the difference in the groups.  I was shooting from a decent rest, but I'm not much of a rest shooter, don't have great eyes, etc.  I should have warmed up first, but the TCG target was the first one I shot so there are some strays.  The RN target is all over the place.  That's why I'll hunt down a supplier using the older mold.

If you have experience with it, how does the SNS 125 Conical compare to the BBI?

The 120 TCG by bayou bullets are more accurate than the 124 TCG's in my testing. They have to be loaded shorter. 1.030 to 1.060. Currently running at 1.060 with 3.8 gr of Tightgroup. Haven't tested them in my open gun yet. At 15 yds this load will put 10 shots into a 1.5 in dot in most of my 9mm's.

For Major 9mm my powder suggestion is Autocomp or CFE. I use Autocomp.

I have used the 124 Bayou TCG for years in my two M&P 9mms. I recently got some of the new 120 TCG heads. I loaded them exactly the same (powder, OAL, crimp) as the 124 and they performed the same... and to the same POI. I see no difference.
