kro77
Has any tried out the new truncated cone from blue bullets? I am curious as someone mentioned the TC shape helps with ensuring no nose dives since oal can be shorter. I am still very much new to reloading so want d to ask as I placed a sampler pack order for fun. GOF
I've not used the Blue Bullet, but the Bayou 124 TCG (truncated cone) is extremely accurate in my 9mms.
kro77
Do you use cast recipes for the bayous. I have only used played so far.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
jliew08
I use the blue bullets 135 TC and really enjoy them. There's several threads here with some different load data you could try out depending on powder/pistol.
kro77
Is accuracy or reduced jam the prime reason you use them?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
IDescribe
The truth is that most people who are using them bought them because they were something new. Are you having problems with jams with another bullet type?
36873687
I've switched to blue Bullets 135 tc an like em a lot.
Superpipe9
The benefit of the TC is that you can actually load them longer in short throated guns like the cz and tanfos. It's a great design and is very accurate. If you want to try them out use (moser) as a coupon code and it will get you a discount.
kro77
So would I use a shorter oal then my round nose?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
Steve RA
No, longer, however don't exceed your magazine length acceptance.

This might make truncated cone bullets the new favorites for those of us running short leade PCC barrels.
mikeinctown
I'm using the 135 Blue Bullets in both my Shadow Target and my regular SP-01 and don't have any issues. The Shadow was used and the previous owner ran their 147s but the SP-01 is new and has only run either factory ammo and now the 135s.
jcc7x7
120/124 TC Bayou's run great Yes start with cast bullet info and work up on chrono to you preferred PF. OAL depends on your mags and chamber
