Case For Those Expensive Open Guns

pelican is, imho, the best hard case money can buy. but that's just me

I couldn't agree more. If someone breaks something that is in a Pelican case they had to have been trying REALLY hard.

If you are looking for one, PM me. I have one that would be big enough for a open gun and some accessories that I might be looking to sell.

I got my Starlight case (a double-rifle one) new on eBay for about $100 off retail. Shipping was like $10.

Got another place for you...

Ziegel Engineering

They have TONS of stock gun cases. I just ordered a custom case 4.5" x 10" x 18" with hidden hardware and dual cam-locks. 3 weeks lead time for a custom job; order direct for stock items. Dillon has a few of their stock items.

I'll report back on how I like the results... Should be nice. Aluminum, TIG welded, etc.

My Ziegel is supposed to come with dual cam locks that use the "coke machine" style key/lock cylinder. 'd be interested in a PM as to how you "trick lock" your cases with the equaliztion valve hole though. ;)

Some of the details are in this thread.. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9377

Basically, take the valve out (or on an older Pelican, swap the 1/4-20 valve for a 1/4-20 eyebolt) and run a cable-lock through the gun, out the case and locked to the outer luggage. TSA can get into the main case, poke around and still can't 'lose' your blaster.
