Liota
Aren't you supposed to be shipped out by then??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not until after the world shoot - I've got goals to meet before goin in Word spreads quick <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I spoke with one of your future unit members last week. He said they couldn't pronounce your last name. I told him not to feel bad, neither can most of us. He said you will be going right into the AMU after training. You'll get the gold shirt almost immediately. Have fun! Make sure our other soldiers don't develop bad habits. L
MstngLX50
I'm squad #28(all day Sat.) I'll be the short stocky dude in the Surefire hat and an STI shirt I've yet to aquire. Finally got a chance to look the stages over, 50yds? I don't think my pistol shoots that far. Obviously this is a 3gun and I wasn't informed. Anybody know who the Range Master is and how to get in touch with him? I need to request a special penalty under 10.2.11 for stage 6, I don't do weak hand. I'd like to get it sorted out ahead of time as I'm sure he'll be pretty busy by the time I roll in on Saturday morning, if he's not already. I hear he does pretty well at a$$ kickn' competitions.

DJPoLo
DJPolo,Did I shoot with you and Beth27 last year in the rain??? No, I don't think so, Sam. Carinab wasn't on my squad. We did have a revolver shooter, but I can't recall his name. Our squad last year was: Me, beth27, GeneralChang, Nathan Taylor, Nicole Taylor, Donald Fenderson, Tonda Gilfillan, Max Gilfillan, and three members of the USAF shooting team. I know I'm leaving someone out but that was the bulk of us. <Shameless Plug> You can see these great shooters and more featured in my first DVD production, "The 2004 USPSA Area 4 Championship". </Shameless Plug> -Chet
cautery
I may have missed it, but I don't see anywhere listing the "Match Hotel"... Which one is it? I decided to go at the last minute... Not shooting, just watching. It'd be cool to meet some of y'all.

hopalong
That's Them !!!!! Thanks Econo Lodge, Is that the other Hotel accross from the Outback Steakhouse??? If so I will be able to "walk" home after the party HOP
cautery
DJPolo - Thanks... Yeah, I had to take a room at Super 8 as the availability is rather sparse this late in the game. Anyone know how far Super8 is from the Econolodge... I guess I can mapblast it...
sfinney
Be glad the Econolodge is full, speaking from past experience, its a real dump. Its not anywhere near the class of hotel the Microtel and its neighbor are (next to Outback). And whats funny, is that the Econlodge isn't even really that cheap..... The only thing going for it is its closer to the range by about 2 miles than most of the other Bossier hotels..... but its still 15 or 20 minutes away, no big deal There are plenty of semi-quality hotels around Bossier, hit up Expedia or Hotels.com....... anything in the Bossier city area is probably ok, most are clumped together around the Pierre Bossier Mall area. 6 or 7 hotels in the $40 - $60 range avail. on Expedia for the match weekend it looks like. Did I mention the Econolodge is a dump?
cautery
Now you tell me... I just changed my reservation to Econolodge. No biggie... It'd have to be REALLY bad to scare me off... And I can deal with a little less "fancy" to not have to travel to the match hotel. One less place I have to drive to.
shred
The Econo is a dump, but it beats some of the other dumps locally available.. The Isle of Capri or whatever across the street is even worse.
DJPoLo
The Econo is a dump, but it beats some of the other dumps locally available..<{POST_SNAPBACK}> We must be the only ones who had a good experience at Econo Lodge last year. Room was clean, internet was fast, weight room was filled with high school cheerleaders. The pool area is small, but should fit all the A4 BE'ers. Should make for some great interviews for this year's DVD. -Chet
sfinney
I'm not scared of "less fancy"..... been there done that, many times. As long as its semi-clean, the customer service is decent, and everything works more or less, (or maybe 2 out of 3) I'm ok. The Econolodge (and as Shred pointed out, a few others in the area) is a dump, and a badly run one at that. I'd give it 0 out of 3 on the above criteria. But it is the match hotel, so they must be cutting some body a good discount, right? And everyone will be there.... so have fun and enjoy it, its the company, not the accomadations. Looks to be a good match, everyone have fun.... wish I could make it this year. I'd even stay at the Econolodge if I could go...
