Falling for Guns - Texas

I started conceal carrying a Remington .380(perfect for my small hands) in November of this year. I enjoy researching, shooting, and taking classes. I carry for self defense and because we're all soft targets at this point in time. I'm open to learning anything and everything about guns, self defense, and ammo. I'm always on the look out for good places to shoot and love holding/shooting interesting firearms!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm in a major city. I'll gladly discuss shooting ranges near me via direct message but because this forum can be accessed publicly I'm not comfortable revealing my location. I travel between Dallas, Houston & San Antonio regularly so I'm interested in ranges, gun shows, and resources in those areas.

Thank you for your service as a civil servant, RangerTrace. I ain't scared since I pack heat too but I'm very outspoken on my twitter account and I don't want to make it easy for people to find me. Are you in the Dallas/Houston/SA area?

Welcome! You sound a little over dramatic to me but then again this is primarily a SPORT shooting forum. We don't do much self defense discussion and we don't talk politics either.

And most of us make public our home cities and clubs we shoot at.

Sarge you crack me up. I'm a private person and a woman so I'll take your dramatic comment as a compliment. I am here for sport shooting as that's what I was doing when I was told about this forum. Who's talking politics on here? Ain't me. Go easy pal.

RangerTrace, next time I'm in my hometown of Dallas I'll hit you up for a good recommendation on a range and see if there's any competitions going down that you may know of.

Peace be with you.

Dang, now I'm kind of interested to see what this twitter account is really about.  Must be rough to have to filter information on a shooting board.

Welcome aboard.   :)

Doing any competitive shooting, yet?

I went last Saturday to shoot at a 3-gun range and identified some areas I need to work on. My interest in 3-gun and IDPA just started. I'm a total newbie and after I work on getting some good habits formed and practice at the range more I would like to start going to competitions. Like I said, I'm open to learning anything and everything about guns and shooting.

Thanks, Reshoot. My screen name is my brand so to speak. I use it on all my accounts. Have a great day!

There are tons of useful videos and dry fire drills that can truly help between matches.  I know at times with work and life events it can be hard to make it to all the competitions.

Best of luck to you!
