Mike Morcillo
Magazines will seat easily with 7 rounds, but won't lock in place with 8 rounds. Hate slamming magazines into the gun only to see them fall out. Cut springs?
jcc7x7
Load the mags and let them sit for a day or two and try them before you cut springs. Wilsons usually are not a problem to seat, so let the springs settle in and see what happens Neil
mikeinctown
What model magazine and what gun? I got 500 ETM mags with my Sig and never had a problem. Just upgraded to the Wilson flat wire springs and you can tell they have a bit more strength to them than the OE 500 springs.
Climbhard
The tube is to short. Get Tripp Cobra mags and a Dawson base pad. Best mag set up that still fits in the box.
waterboy
If your still having issues with the mags, try contacting Wilson Combat. From what I have heard they have great customer service.
Edge40
Get rid of them and buy Tripp.
zzt
Mike, I've been using the Wilson ETMs for years. I like them much better than the Wilson 47D and certainly better than the Tripp Cobra II mags I tried and later sold. If you have 47Ds, then the convex follower is part of the problem. Your mag catch may also play a part if it is one designed to hold the mag a lot higher than "normal". You can try a couple of things. If 47D, swap out the follower for an ETM follower (with spring if necessary) and see if that helps. If not, you can change out the mag catch, or file a little off the shelf of the existing one. BTW, if you have Wilson 10-round 47D mags you are going to have the same problem. The fix, and only for the 10-round mag, is to replace the Wilson follower with a Tripp hybrid follower with the concave surface. You don't lose any capacity and you gain a half cartridge width of play that makes the full mag easily reloadable.
