GJGary
Have a TS40 and looking to lighten the slide. Tried looking through all the pics but they seemed to spread out. If you wouldn't mind posting some pics of your slide cuts or examples I would appreciate it and the smith would have something to go off. Thanks
kneelingatlas
I recommend you take equal amounts of weight from the front and rear of the slide, ~1 ounce from each, check out this thread:

paramajic4
Can anyone who has done this on a TS tell me what the difference in the gun was after doing the cuts? I shoot a 40 TS in limited but want to build a 9mm TS for 3gun. Just looking to reduce overall gun weight
paramajic4
It does increase the cool factor though

Just looking to reduce overall gun weight If you just do cool looking cuts in the front, you will increase muzzle flip, weight should be taken evenly from the front and back of the slide, the TS slide has a lot to give, as well as the frame. This one is an Open gun, but you get the idea:

yigal
very good and accurate work. do you feel difference in metal hardness between slide and frame thru machining process? tanfoglio has harder metal .do you have problem machining and threading it? kneelingatlas
The steel used in CZs is softer than that used on Tanfoglios
paramajic4
Atlas, that is a pretty good example of what can be done. Not sure i'll go to that level but like the info on the slide. Thx.
