ecn515
Hey all, I just picked myself up a Tac Sport Orange in 9mm. I'll primarily be using it for 3 Gun and USPSA Limited Minor competition so I'm trying to up the capacity some over the factory 20. I ordered Springer Precision 140mm extensions andg Grams followers and springs, and with them installed I can fit 23 rounds but the first two always nose dive into the feed ramps and won't feed. At 21 rounds they all feed. It just seems to me like there has to be some way to get more than 1 extra round. Any idea or experience is appreciated, thanks! kneelingatlas
I've only ever used CZC pads/springs/followers for the TS; all the mags get 23+1 reliably right out of the box and after some break in, one of them gets 24+
phoenixsomd
I have both CZC and SP guts and extensions on my mags (40s&w). I have excellent feeding from both if running a OAL of 1.125. The SPs equipped mags hold 21 rnds, one more than the CZC setup.Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
repins1911
Second on the CZC extensions, they run great. Where did you pick up the TS Orange?
tomfturner
look up CZ mag tuning ... I think you'll find that people have the same issue with both CZC and SP mag extensions/springs/followers. I sent mine to Grams engineering, but you can do the tuning yourself. Like I said a brief search for mag tuning should find you everything you need to know, and the reasons as to why this happens. Some magazines don't have the problem, others do. bigdave24
I thought extending 9 mm TS magazines let the follower go below the indentations in the magazine and caused problems.
zzt
Here is what CZC has to say about extended basepads. Can be used on the TS 9mm but will NOT increase the capacity. The ribs on the TS 9mm mags will catch on the cartridge and or follower.Unless you are using the new CZC Spring and Follower 10522
PRanta
I've used 9mm TS magazines with extended CZC pads and factory followers without problems. The combo had increased capacity. CZC followers gave me malfunctions all the time.
Honkeymcgee
Hey guys. Go to the open pistol section and find my CZ Czechmate review. You will see how to fix the nose dive issue there.
