EEH
Location:Aynor SC. Posted 08 June 2015 - 07:39 AM On a rainy day in June 2007,I went by the local animal shelter, where people for many reasons go to throw away dogs. There she was,in a small cage, under weight almost no hair, little pug nose pickingnes.her big eyes said I will always love if you just take me out of here. I did and for the last six almost seven years she has done just that..She loves to ride, sleep in my bed with me on my pillow no less. Now just a short time later,I was told my throw away dog has Cancer,in her belly she will not eat, losing weight, but she seems happy to still sleep with me and ride in the car.Dr.says she can't go thru surgery besides She was just a throwaway dog.She goes on vacation with me has been to some matches with me but the wife always went and cared for her during the match. After all She was just a throwaway dog,so why does it matter ! Well I tell you one thing She will be Loved to the very end ever how long that is.When I took her out of that cage years ago I promised her She would not have to spend on other night in one of those things, and promised Her she would be loved till one of us left, after She was just a throwaway dog. Kaydin and I send our most sincere condolences for the loss of your friend. I know the feeling and I know she is better off where she is. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown..

Tom S.
Pet lovers (of which I'm proudly one) know that over time, pets become part of the family, and losing them is like losing a family member. My oldest, Max had to be put down last fall at 17. He led a good life and was well loved and looked after, and is still missed. Rather than breed show dogs and dogs with strange traits (like blue eyes), I wish they'd breed them to live longer. 17 is long for a dog, but I would have loved to have seen him make 20 or 25. And then of course is my signature line. Edited June 9, 2016 by Tom S.
