Face5535
I have a 1050 and have been told to seat primers to a certain depth. Can anyone tell me how to measure this? Thanks!
Youngeyes
As long as the primer is below flush you should be fine. Put a straight edge on the base. If you see light under it, the primer is below flush. I've never measured depth. If it looks good and it fires, it's at the perfect depth. YMMV. If you wish to get a number, you can use a depth micrometer . http://www.amazon.com/Micrometer-Hardened-Toolmaker-Milling-Measure/dp/B00HFY4X0M/ref=sr_1_2?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1458222475&sr=1-2&keywords=depth+micrometer+set
JD45
The end of a dial caliper is not as accurate as a micrometer, but it's close.
mcracco
As stated below flush and with no tooling marks on face of primer. Really no need to measure.
Sarge
Just get them at or below flush and call it good
