johnson184
Thinking of getting my 1050 set up with an autodrive. The AmmoBot looks like a pretty nice setup, and it's priced a lot better than the Mark 7. Wondering if anyone here is running one and can provide some feedback on it. Seems to be the newest kid on the block.
Foxbat
If you are still thinking, I would rather get another 1050/Mr.BF.
Paul-the new guy
Why would you get another press over an auto drive? That seems silly. I am looking at the ammo bot also but I REALLY like the Mark
jmorris
Why would you get another press over an auto drive? That seems silly.Take your auto drive 1050 and race a guy with two SD's to load 100 rounds of 9mm and 100 rounds of 45 ACP. He won't look as silly after he's done and already had lunch by the time you finish. No conversion time is the big deal. Autodrive machines at the best running speeds are no faster than manual, just less work. Edited September 14, 2015 by jmorris

Paul-the new guy
Loading even a few hundred rounds kills my shoulders and neck. Auto drive is in my future. Let the guy with 2 SD's race a 1050 loading 1500 9mm's some of which have crimped primers. Edited September 15, 2015 by Paul-the new guy
MarkS_A18138
I have a chain drive system and love it...Yes I can reload just as fast on my other 1050 man doing 100 rounds...But I load for 3 and a normal run is 2000 and I also have a bad shoulder. Autodrive saves me!

Even if all of them were crimped pockets you could swage them all then load faster than converting bullet fed 1050 from 9mm to 45 ACP.
slavex
I think it would be quicker to change a press out on my MK7 then to do a caliber change. I think maybe 10 minutes to swap a machine in, less if I had it already setup with a drive sprocket.
dansedgli
so there is no ammo bot owners yet? It seems like the best compromise between the p/w and mark 7. I like that it senses the end positions rather than relies on a mechanical stop to be adjusted correctly. The clutch also seems better than a p/w. Paul-the new guy
I am not an ammo bot owner but am interested. Just observations from the Internet, no real experience, I don't want to raise the press up. It's noisy, I don't like the handle being left on, the control seems a little hokey. I would have already bought one inspite of all that if I thought I could get a good portion of my money back in resale if I didn't like it. I am also willing to answer any questions you have.
