vnboileau
Something that I could use at the range to sort of measure my progress Maybe one that includes a draw, reload, multiple targets, etc. And if I could find times to compare to, that would be awesome. Like x.xx would be comparable to an A shooter, etc. That's the part I'm having trouble with, I can find drills online, but no times to compare myself to. Suggestions? Racinready300ex
Set up a couple simple classifiers, run them and see what % you get. Come back to them from time to time and look for improvements.
Nimitz
Pucker Factor & Times Two are 2 good classifiers that test a range of core USPSA skills in addition to El Pres. It's easy to calculate the HF you would need to go up one classification level so you can use that as a training goal as well as just tracking progress ... motosapiens
http://www.uspsa.org/classifiers/ download the book in pdf. look through it and select a few classifiers that you can actually set up (i started with only 3 target stands, so I do el prez, and tight squeeze. but there are plenty of simple 3-4 target classifiers. calculate your HF and look up the percentage at classifiercalc.com
naim
El prez is definitely on the top of the list for basic entry level drills. I used to shoot a lot of variations of this drill. I used to spread the targets for bigger transitions and put the targets further back for harder shots.
