joshxdm9
I started with a lee fcd with bayou bullet and had accuracy issues. Did some research here and found that a lot of people had the same issue and was solved by ditching the fcd and going to taper crimp. Problem solved

ToddKS
I will be loading 40s&w with coated bullets? Can u adjust this die to barely take the bell out of the case? Thanks Yes. You can adjust the FCD to any setting you need. Follow the directions when setting it up and you will have no issues. If properly adjusted most of what you feel on the down stroke is the die engaging the base of the case. You can pull a bullet and inspect it to verify your settings. I use the FCD in 3 different calibers.
SWprotected
I use the FCD with coated bullets, the carbide ring will straighten the bell out some but not really crimp the bullet. You then use the knob on the top to set your final crimp. Follow the instructions you should not have any issues.

Butterpuc
I have loaded many thousands of coated bullets with a Lee FCD. Make sure you follow the directions to set the taper correct.
Sarge
Installed one a month or so ago and have loaded Jacketed, plated, coated BBI's and a few blue bullets and it works fine. It's real easy to over do it so like everybody else said, make sure you read the directions.
Flash74
I use the FCD with 9 and 40 with no problems. It is easy to set for little crimp and confirms the case will chamber. I use a U-die to resize so the FCD barely touches the case on my 550.
